Really interesting wording there... “Free LONG-DISTANCE Travel on the SuperCharger Network.” Apparently they’re trying to address the issue of constant local charging.
Appropriate license plate, considering the car...
There are multiple Volts around with >100k miles and minimal, if any range degradation. There’s at least one with >250k miles, of which ~85k were pure electric, which is still on the original battery and has exhibited barely any range loss.
GM was extremely cautious with battery management in their design of the Volt…
I love this argument against sunroofs. Take a poll of 100 nearby sunroof-equipped cars. Now tell me what percentage of owners have EVER worn a helmet in the car, or give the slightest crap about a small amount of added weight in the roof.
Good grief, man. Some people LIKE the open-air feeling of a convertible or a sunroof (myself included). It’s not that hard a concept to understand. Different strokes, and all that.
So, demonstrably wrong about the dash and the paint colours. I think you can make a damn strong case against “not-a-hotrod” when the V6 made 280 horsepower and 360 lb-ft in 1993, and against “meh” when the thing could outrun both Corvettes and Ferraris of its day.
Seriously, how do we go about retracting a COTD award?…
I think the logic is that damn near every one of the folks in those examples isn’t actively investing the savings.
Absolutely with you — A fantastic-looking car!
I think that’s a 1600. The 2000 was sweet, it had the SR20DE.

Or, go a little cheaper and leave a couple of grand for an NA Miata to stick on the back.
I think that argument becomes moot when you’re talking RVs, though. When you have an apartment with you, pausing for 30 mins - 1 hr to charge becomes much less of an issue.
Justy-fy?
There’s no reason you can’t do so within reason as well. I know people who recently bought lightly-used C6 ‘Vettes which they can afford but will probably sacrifice savings for when they could’ve had just as good/fun an experience in a cheaper C5 or even a C4.
Last-gen GTO? WRX? Might find a V6 G8 at that price point.
Perhaps it was a factory option!
The only thing they’d need to do to make this 100% better looking. Straight across on the top of the doors.
“Awkward,” maybe. “Cheap?” Absolutely not.
It already is — Look into it. Make sure you understand the tax credit — If your tax bill (cumulative, owed to the government exclusive of withholding at the time your return is filed) is $7,500 or more, you’ll get that amount. If it’s less, you’ll get only that amount.
Also, when shopping, make sure you understand…
You should check out a Volt with the rear seats folded down. There’s a surprising amount of cargo room.
