I'm 34 and have an '04 XJ8. 55k original miles at purchase for around $10k 2 years ago. I've put 17k on it, and have done tires, brakes, and had to repair a broken sunroof mechanism, otherwise it's been fine. A great performer for the price.

You've hit the issue — Road Trip. If you take your Mustang 220mi away from home it's trivial to get another 220mi of range within 5 minutes. Without a supercharger near by a Tesla can't do that.
