You could very easily turn this logic around. Do you see any other threads with people just suddenly saying without prompt, ‘I sure do love children! Anyone who doesn’t have them is leading an unfulfilling life.’? No, the *gag* ‘breeders’ are ‘defensive’ because one of you guys came in here pre-emptively justifying

Let’s be honest, the defensiveness runs the other way as well. People in general are too fucking pushy about how superior their life choices are to others.

Unfortunately people on both sides of the fence need to let you know how objectively correct their decision to have/not have kids is and how dumb you are for not being like them.

If they were going to leave this bug in, the least they could’ve done was make sure that the tire tracks are on fire when it happens.

Something like that happened to me once, I played the vulture. It was a terrible idea for the both of us and I never got the opportunity to swoop in. Acting like you’re someone’s friend while you hope for their relationship to implode is being shitty to them and being shitty to you. Fortunately I eventually wised up

Glad to have helped.

Could this help? I noticed this earlier in the ME subreddit, sounds like your issue:

I remember it being in one of the very first chapters of my world history textbook freshman year of high school. It stuck out in my mind because it looked like a really bizarre pyramid thing.

I had a very expansive vocabulary as a teenager and it was entirely due to my early obsession with MUDs. Text-based proto-MMOs essentially, the people writing them were fond of purple prose so I was prompted to many visits to dictionary.com when I ran into one I didn’t recognize.

The resurgence of the word salt as the internet embraced it is odd to me, it was sort of an overly polite anachronism of a term prior to a few years ago. I’d only hear it in places like news reports as a way to politely note how angry someone was about something. So the meaning didn’t change when the internet took it

I figured they all hid loading screens, even the galaxy map ones, so I didn’t think you could just skip them. Turns out I was wrong.

Other than the transitions, I liked what they did with the galaxy map. I like that it puts you in a 3D space, where you can go to some random planet and disengage and actually see it and

All this stuff looks great, a lot of it was unexpected. I didn’t expect them to let you skip the planetary transitions. My main problem right now is mission glitches, I didn’t see it mentioned but I just want them to fix the new game + bugs. It carries over key items from your last playthrough and bugs out the

“while believing that if a Nazi gets punched in the face that we should feel sorry for him”

Yep, fuck the ACLU.

The elder is also the only owl.

Othering, I’d imagine. Labeling someone gets them one step farther away from being a real human being and thus it’s easier to hate them or stereotype them.

They did this in Dragon Age 2 and people still complained about it.

DPS trash.

I haven’t really seen a proper alternative term for people who are really in to social justice (other than the self-serving, ‘Decent human being’), so it makes sense that it’s pretty pervasive. I try to use SJ types or SJ people, but it’s obvious I’m just trying to avoid arguments like yours that’ve become popular.

Clickbait was always the king of the castle until fake news took over.

Yes, because religious belief makes someone objectively dumber and thus naive. I’m sure all these edgy children that use their atheism as a way to put themselves above others were all way smarter than Isaac Newton.
