My instinct, and my deepest hope, is that they saw how awful the pricing model was for Forza, and realised that they didn't want to make the same mistake. Being free on launch for the PS4 always made me suspicious that it was going to be some kind of F2P model instead of an actual full game, and hopefully now that…
The pro dodging or the gif editing?
Bob, you have no idea how long that took me.
I can't stand games that make you grind forever to unlock one thing. In my eyes, that's just as bad as pay2win. One of the big reasons I couldn't stand playing Warframe or Tribes despite the games themselves being good, their f2p model was awful. Thankfully both games have made some changes but the ship has sailed on…
I'd say be cautiously optimistic(if you think the game even looks fun in general). One guy is an indie, the other comes from Blizzard(the big two at least). That means there's at least going to be debate over how to do the IAP(in app purchases, for the less tech savvy). Could go either way honestly.
NOT pay-to-win, just grind for hours and hours to obtain anything (with clever deduction to the amount of in game credit you win per game). But hey you could always grab the exp/credit booster. Feel like I heard that a million time before.
I'm sure you're heartbroken. And since when don't multi-plat games count? The irony of that coming from a PC gamer.
Thanks! More good stuff to come, I promise!
Does that mean Titanfall doesn't count either?
What is sad is that people will get in a tizzy about whatever new Halo game comes out just because it is Halo, but when the guys who INVENTED Halo come out with a new game it suddenly doesn't matter because it is not Halo and not exclusive to some console or another.
.....what you got against Marble Madness?
I'll admit, I was more than a bit prejudiced knowing the PS4 was being designed by The Marble Madness Guy. I honestly felt there was no way the PS4 would be a competent system with an American at the wheel.
He should feel proud. He helped build Sony a better machine (PS4) than MS did for itself.
In the 80s, he made arcade games for Atari. In the 10s, he led the team that made the PlayStation 4. Mark Cerny is…
So... WILL there be a difference?
