I agree with you on MP 3. This game took too much control of the gameplay and I disliked it as well, but it is weird I cannot make any analogy between MP3 gameplay and U series. The U series, as opposed to MP 3 feels much smoother, controls are tighter and more responsive and gameplay was much more enjoyable.

Good question. I think it stays available after the release but just for the numbers of DLC the developer promised to release in the beginning. Meaning, if the developer states that the season pass includes 4 DLC, all DLC released later will have to be purchased apart. Gearbox used this method with Borderlands 2 afaik.
