I agree. At least 2010 and 2012 came down to the wire in terms of crowning a world champion. 2011 was absolutely dominated by RedBull and was somewhat boring as a result. I'm looking forward to this year. I will be up at 2 in the morning to watch the race live. I'm so F1-deprived it's not even funny.

Looks like the only thing that's changed in F1 (simply based on the two practice sessions thus far) is that Mercedes and McLaren have swapped places.

For that price you can buy an actual E60 BMW.

Looks like it's limited in the Dynamic mode.

They should start putting transponder chips in the belt buckle similar to a key so that the chime will only turn off if the actual buckle is inserted.

You go out of your way to not wear your seatbelt?

Yep I agree with 10 years being quite optimistic. I never disagreed with that. I was just trying to clarify the principle on which he thought the valves operated. However, maybe I misunderstood him. I really hope they bring this out as quick as they claimed. Everyone can benefit from this.

Yep. I agree that 10 years is optimistic. Or as you said "very very optimistic". Nevertheless, I hope they manage to pull it off. This is technology that everyone can benefit from. More powerful and more efficient is always a good thing.

Oh I absolutely agree that 10 years is very optimistic. Notice how he said "production" and not "mass production". Big difference. And the time for new technology to trickle down from an exclusive hyper car down to mass production economy cars can also take a while. Nevertheless, this technology can only make ICEs

Solenoids paired with pneumatics is a very proven technology. That's how Cargine's engine works. The valves are not directly actuated by the solenoids, rather the valves are actuated via the pneumatic systems which are controlled by solenoids. Different concept.

That was one of the first things I noticed. No idea why it was even questioned. As soon as I saw that little logo, supercharger came to mind.

Mini's placement of the speedometer in their Cooper. I'd prefer to have the speedo either in the cluster (visible through the steering wheel) or above the steering wheel (8th gen Civic). Putting it in the dash equidistant between the driver and passenger where the audio unit or nav unit and maybe some vents should be

I believe you just push it the opposite way but not all the way. Just giving it a nudge out of its centre position should do it. That's how it was on the Mini Cooper that I drove for the first time recently anyways.

Silent? I've never come across any turn signals that are completely silent. They all must have an audible sound when active.

I'm guilty of this as well whenever I drive an auto. Especially when I first go to start it and I press in the imaginary clutch before turning the key.

Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see.

#6 if they've just washed their car is super effective!

Actually? I had no idea.

That's the biggest fender labia I've ever seen.

Fortunately I'm never there during rush hour!
