I’m not a twin, but there is a set of twins in Little Doo’s elementary class. The twins were in the same kindergarten classroom , but I think they’ve been in separate classrooms since (I can’t remember if they were in the same class for first grade). I know thy were in separate classes last year and again this year.

Exactly. I’ve been working from home since Little Doo was born. She’s about to turn 9, and it’s only been in the past year that I can work while she’s here (and as long as I let her stay on the iPad all day while I work). She was with a sitter from infancy to 3, and then in preschool. She’s still enrolled in the after

I am always disappointed that when I check out the shoes on Nordstrom’s website, the cutest ones unfailingly have her name on them, and I refuse to buy anything with that name on it.

I very much enjoyed being an auntie as well. It’s not all car seat struggles. Today we jumped off of a small step about 20 times, which was a whole lot of fun. And it’s even more fun to hear a toddler tell his older sister to “put down the iPad”, lol. Cuddles and the first “I love you too” make up for the tantrums.

You are welcome to spend time with my toddler, particularly getting him into and out of his car seat. The other today we spent 10 minutes sweating in the sun because he refused to get out of the passenger side of the car instead of the driver’s side. We were parked on the street instead of our usual spot in the

I somewhat regret Little Doo’s name, since she has my stepmother’s middle name (my mother would have a stroke if she knew), and my stepmother favors my son. Little Doo’s name was supposed to be a middle name for her as well, but I don’t regret ditching Sophia as her first name. It didn’t go with our last name, and

Or Michelle (not my name). I’m in my 40s, and I went to school with and I know a bunch of Michelles, but I have yet to meet a single one in Little Doo’s classes.

I’m wondering if it was a communication issue with the family members taking the children to the airport in the Dominican Republic. A few years ago, my 14 year old niece flew from Phoenix to LAX to visit me and Little Doo. I believe we were able to go through security to pick up my niece directly from the gate,

Exactly. My niece flew from Phoenix to LAX to visit us a few years ago, and even after 9/11, I was allowed to go through security to pick her up at the gate, and my daughter and I were allowed to go through security at LAX on her way home and wait with her at the gate. IIRC, I had to show my ID at the check-in desk

Yes, I tried a Diva Cup after reading all the raves on a couple of different Jezebel posts. It’s been sitting in my bathroom cabinet unused for the last few years. It was so uncomfortable for me I went right back to pads and tampons.

I ended up watching The Martian on DVD because 60 Minutes was a repeat.

Not necessarily. My parents had me really young (they were both 19). I can remember not wanting to go to my dad’s house from 4-8 because it was boring. I wanted to play with Barbies, and my dad wanted to play poker with his friends and ride Harleys. Actually, I don’t remember playing Barbies with my mom either, but I

I believe the LH peaks (and appears on the strip) before the egg is actually released. I saw a fertility specialist before conceiving Little Doo, and they charged me $26 for one of the exact same LH strips I bought off of Amazon.

You can buy the luteinizing hormone (LH) strips for cheap on Amazon. Pee in a Dixie cup on days 10-14 of your cycle, dip the stick, and when the strip says you’re ovulating, have sex within the next 24 hours. Results: Little Doo and Scrappy Doo.

Thanks, I’ve wanted to go to Ikea for a while and pick up some of the plastic cups and plates for him, so I’m going to add chairs to my list too.

Ooh, thank you. I might have to run to Ikea and check those out. He likes to climb on and off of the dining room chairs himself, so it can’t be anything too high.

I really wish I had seen this years ago. For Little Doo I had a hand-me-down highchair that collected all the goo, and for Scrappy I bought the booster seat that straps onto a chair.

Swingers tend to use the word “Lifestyle”, not party. If they were talking I expect you would have heard them use the word lifestyle during your conversation, not party.

Grandma Doo only worked while my mother and her sister were in school. She stopped working after that, but she helped raise my brother and me. I was very close to her.

That, and how about helping out the parents? Clean the house (or at least make sure you’re cleaning up after yourself), run errands for them, start dinner.
