that’s the truth of Wall Street, we had to do it.

I bought the Diva Cup a few years ago after reading about it on Jezebel. It might be me, but it was extremely uncomfortable for me to insert and remove. I have problems with vaginal dryness and I have for years, so that might be it. The cup has been sitting in my bathroom cabinet unused for several years. Luckily for…
Good luck to you. I had my second at 42 as a single mom, figuring it was my last shot. It’s difficult to be a single mother - I didn’t go to the grocery store for 10 days over the holidays because there is no way I going with a toddler who won’t sit in the cart and wants to run wild through the store. I was gone for 3…
Agreed. I was 20 pounds overweight before my first pregnancy, and 30 before my second, and I never developed GD. I did have pre-eclampsia though.
My kids don’t like mashed potatoes. My Kansas-born grandmother who grew up on a farm would be appalled. She’d probably be more appalled that the Little Dude hasn’t been baptized, but whatever.
Mine never popped out. But I was overweight before both pregnancies. I was a disappointed that I didn’t develop a nice round pregnancy belly. I had a “mesa” instead of a round belly.
Yes, this is it. Her last few posts have focused on how long her foster daughter has been in foster care. She’s hoping to adopt but the case is dragging on forever with new judges/case workers all the time. She adopted a little girl named Clementine, and Sandy is the foster daughter (not her real name. To protect her…
Ah! I subscribed to HBO to watch the last season of the Sopranos after watching the rest on DVD. I have a toddler so I don’t get to watch that much TV anymore, and I’m not that into Mad Men that I would buy the DVDs, especially since I’ll probably only watch them once. I’ll wait until Netflix has it. I did however…
My nephew slept in pull-ups until he was 5 or so. Some kids are really heavy sleepers and they don’t wake up during the night to go to the bathroom. One night I was sleeping at my SIL’s house, and I heard an alarm go off at 2 am in my (different) nephew’s room. I got up and shut it off, not realizing it was an alarm…
So your experience was positive? When I see these stories I have the same reaction as Lady Heatherlee (give me all the babies!), but I’ve been reading a blog by a NYC foster parent, and I don’t think I could do it. I work, and I couldn’t take all the time off for parent visits at the foster agency, doctors appts,…
Where did you watch the second half of Mad Men? Unfortunately my DVR only record the first half of season 7 and not the second half. I’m desperately waiting for it to come out on Netflix so I can watch the last few episodes. I was so bummed out when I saw Netflix had the first half of season 7 but not the second half.
UTI? After Little Doo was born, I was sleeping in my pajamas, robe and blankets and I was still shivering. I had really weird dreams. Day 5 I woke up and told my mother I couldn’t do this, and that I had to give Little Doo away. I went and took my temperature and it was 105. I still have Little Doo :-).
I gladly offer you some of mine. I have 4 bottles in the garage fridge that are all at least 5 years old (well chilled?). I should probably open one and have a glass even though I won’t finish the bottle and I’ll end up throwing the rest away.
I agree. Not that I could have my alcoholic mother watch my kids, but it still makes me mad to think about all the help she got and that I don’t get any from her. My maternal grandmother practically raised my brother and I until we were 8 and 6 and my mom moved us across the country. Almost all of my early childhood…
When 100% of that 58% votes. My nieces are both of voting age and live in a red state. I texted them two weeks ago to make sure they are both registered to vote before the election next year. I didn’t try to influence which way they vote, but the older one recently posted a pro-choice video on Facebook. I made them…
Little Doo is 8 and she still fervently believes in Santa. Her friend across the street is the youngest of 3 and no longer believes in Santa. They’ve had discussions about whether or not Santa exists, but I’ve been out of the room and Little Doo hasn’t directly asked me this year.
The news mentioned that today is the first day of finals for high schoolers.
Yep. My dad retired to AZ a few years ago. His brothers and a close family friend go to AZ all the time for gun shows and bring that shit back here.
He is very nibble-able. This picture is a year old. He was a preemie, so he’s never really been a chubby baby. He’s been in the 6-10% for weight at every checkup since he started solids. But every once in a while I have to nibble on those cheeks!
