The sperm bank I used, which is actually the one mentioned in the article, lets donors choose if they want to be permanently anonymous or not. My son’s donor opted to allow contact when my son turns 18. So if he decides that he wants to meet the donor when he’s 18, he can.

I forgot to add what about parents who just take off? My brother met my sister-in-law when my niece was barely 6 months old. My brother is the only father she has ever known. Her biological dad might not have been an anonymous donor, but he might as well have been for all my niece grew up knowing about him. As far as

Ok, have at me. I have a son who was conceived using anonymous donor sperm. He’s not talking yet, so we can’t ask him his opinion about “denying him his full sense of self and identity, with anonymous genetic material”. I’ve printed off all of the donor material that was made available to me from the sperm bank,

I had one child with my ex, and we divorced when she was 2. As I approached 40, I knew I wanted another child. I used a donor from a sperm bank, and I have a fantastic son who is about to turn 1.

Plus that was my only alone time! Little Doo still wants to hold my hand and have me lay down with her at bedtime. Going to the salon and showering were the only times I got to be alone, and sometimes still are!

Yes! The ex Mr. Doo had the same first name as his brother-in-law, and there were 3 other men in the family that shared a (different) first name.

No, but she loved that show!

Mama Doo always said that no one ever returns cash, and it’s never the wrong size or color.

I will admit that I’ve gotten a bit put out that I’ve purchased wedding/baby gifts for some of my cousins, and when I got married/had a baby I only got a gift from my aunts (I know my uncles did not pick out the gifts) and nothing from my cousins. A distant cousin is getting married later this year and I’m not sure if

I have a bunch of samples I’ve received that I’ll probably never use, and some items from the beauty boxes. My city’s shelter is on the other side of town from me, and on their website they request full size toiletries (or at least full size bottles of shampoo and conditioner). I guess I haven’t donated because it

I stopped watching when Callie and Arizona were in the car talking, and I was thinking “not a car crash, not a car crash, not a car crash, c’mon that’s always what happens” and then they were in an accident. I haven’t watched since.

My initial thought was that someone probably dropped that particular jar somewhere along the way, but I guess they must have ruled that out if they are recalling the whole batch.

I have returned unused, unworn underwear. For example, if they had a sale of 3 for $30, I bought 3, wore one pair and found that they didn't fit right, were uncomfortable, etc, I returned the other two with the tags still on them.

I don't know for sure, but I always assumed the used makeup that returned gets put out as the testers.

Jockey cotton Comfies, but they do have a little bit of microfiber in them.

I am a single mother to two little ones under the age of 8. I can get 5 minutes of makeup time every day. Sex? Meh. The last guy I had sex with was a selfish asshole who never once got me off, and barely even tried the first time. I kept thinking I could fix it (ha!). Sex with my ex was meh (I don't think we were

Thank you for the recommendation. I need to buy foundation, and I don't think the shade I have is a good match for me. It's been quite a while since I've shopped for foundation (I have little ones). I've been thinking about taking a day off of work just for myself to go to the mall and maybe even read a magazine!

I love this idea, and I think it's completely fair, but Dan Savage suggested this a long time ago in response to business that refuse to serve homosexual couples/weddings.

I really like The Body Shop's Vitamin E moisturizer. I have very oily skin, so I'm picky about moisturizers. I liked the Vitamin E so much I bought a bunch of it, plus the facial cleanser. Just make sure that you get the one with sunscreen, as they do have a version that doesn't contain sunscreen.

I might have to investigate this "beautifying" filter. I always take the worst pictures. I think I have 5 pictures or so of myself in my entire life that I actually like.
