I just think it’s funny that there’s still some sort of stigma around “television” that pushes directors like Scorsese to make interminable movies. If you need more than two hours to tell your story, why not a mini series? Because it lacks the silver screen prestige of a movie, even when the movie is made by Netflix

I firmly believe that all movies should be between 90 and 120 minutes, maybe slightly more given for weighty subject matter. My attention span (and my ass, assuming I’m seeing it in the theater) can’t handle more than that.

Wow I can’t wait for another Scorsese movie about dudes doing crimes and talking about doing crimes. Maybe a woman shows up and makes a pained expression once or twice because she’s in love with one of the dudes doing crimes?

As a Maine voter for all but one election, she’s right that we value integrity and independence. However for many of us, she stopped showing anything like that years ago, and the Kavanaugh vote was simply the most egregious example.

Susan Collins only bucks her party in alignment with her constituent wishes, when that

You zeroed in on the exact thing I saw-how does one vote with “integrity and independence” when ignoring one’s own constituents to vote in lockstep with national party leadership?

She dug her own hole. She markets herself as a “moderate”, yet every single time it comes down to it she gives in to McConnell. The only time she is allowed to let her moderate flag fly is early in the process, when she won’t be the deciding vote or when the result is largely inconsequential. When it is something

“Have I lost some votes because of my decision to support Justice Kavanaugh? Yes, I have. And I’m sad about that because I explained in great depth my decision-making,” Collins said. But “there still is an appreciation in Maine for someone who looks at the facts of an issue, votes with integrity and independence.”

It’s like if that one really awful aunt of yours made it to Congress. You know, the one who spends Thanksgiving dinner monologuing about “those people” and homosexuals “flaunting” it and how such-and-such cousin should be raising her children differently, and when you call her on her BS, she makes a sour face and compl

If the Queen is willing to support her son, who associated with a known sex offender and pedophile, and she is, her support negates every other PR move she has ever done to make her and her family seem more “modern.” (They’re really not.)

you know how they used to paint portraits to send to future spouses in instances where the betrothed had never met? and like, the artist needed to make the portrait look good because they're selling this person but also it needs to resemble the person, which was quite the conundrum in several cases of various european

However, if instead, CPCs explicitly stated, “we do not provide abortions and are morally against them, but if you want to continue your pregnancy, we can help provide you with resources to do so,” I’d still disagree with their stance on abortion, but at least they’d be honest...

She said she scraped up her left side but she’s lying on her right side. And the bike is upright and on the road.  Neither helmet appears like it had a collision with the ground.

“Smart Water: The Official Water of Motorcycle Accidents”

No scrapes or other skin marks, no skid marks, no tamped down or uprooted grass from the crash, and the bike is very clean. I am no fake picture expert, but what I see are two models trying to look very serious and very pretty for a staged shoot.

How lucky her motorcycle crashed during the golden hour.

If I got into an accident of any type and my friend was taking pictures, I would get new friends. This is a new level of tacky for sponcon.

Yeah exactly I see this a lot like when you praise someone for going against the norm and you throw the other people under the bus. Like Billie does her thing and she doesn’t want to bring other people down it seems.

I think it’s more that everyone is praising her way of dressing as a reaction to the way other women dress, and it isn’t. There’s nothing wrong with the way Ariana Grande dresses OR the way Eilish dresses. Like you, I was a younger woman who didn’t want to wear makeup or dresses...but what we don’t want is for one

If he wins the primary, that’s exactly what I’ll fucking do because I’m not a selfish prick who thinks my vote is a reflection on myself and not a tool to help the masses. Until then, I get to vote for Elizabeth Warren and feel great about it.

1.) “Don’t vote FOR this candidate, vote AGAINST the other candidate.” didn’t work so well in 2016
