I really hope my fear ends up being an overreaction, but i’m so glad that my parents made sure I got my Costa Rican citizenship while i was eligible to apply (have at least one parent with citizenship and be under age 25). I mean, my sister and i were already talking about buying a condo down there anyway, but maybe

Ooh, I read Uprooted over the summer and enjoyed it! Right now, i’m reading Octavia Butler’s Earthseed series. I finished Parable of the Sower last week and now i’m reading Parable of the Talents. They’re very good books, though reading dystopian fiction right now seems a bit too prophetic.

Yeah, even though I think that i should stay in the US and fight for justice, I’ve been googling Costa Rican real estate more often than usual.

Just water tonight since i had way too much to drink last night. I did have one of those crazy milkshakes from Black Tap that have gone viral on Instagram, so now i’m also in the middle of a sugar coma.

I have a family friend who voted for Trump because they were afraid that giving too much control to the democrats would result in a communist dictatorship ala Fidel castro’s Cuba (said family friend is Cuban), but tbh, i feel like a Trump autocracy would be more likely to lead to a communist takeover than just having

Right?! I’m finishing my graduate degree in May and want to work in sexual and reproductive health, but Trump is killing my chance of getting a job.

I like Sooo Many White Guys and Politically Reactive, though the second one is currently on hiatus and most of the episodes are pre-election (though I really like the Black Lives Matter episode, as well as the ones with Lindy West and Roxane Gay).

I have that quote on a shirt, though I wear it sparingly since I got glares from people with small children on the subway the last time I wore it, even though I think it’s pretty solid advice.

I’m reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler! It’s very good so far.

Sorry, just saw this now, but yes, it’s called the Rosenfield building, or ARB, but you probably want to write the full name out on the application. Good luck!

Also, I feel like white people who realize that intersectionality is important don’t really get offended by this stuff and also agree that white feminism is a problem?

I would say it depends on how much the producers will let Nick rebel against what they want to happen. I feel like they probably want Corrine to stick around for awhile for the sake of entertainment value, but I don’t know if they would actually let someone who the audience hates so much win the show.

I never actually watched the Bachelor until this season, and we’ll see how long I actually keep up with it, but after watching Unreal, I wanted to see if I could figure out how the producers edit the show/how they manufacture drama vs. what’s real drama, and after watching Burning Love, i wanted to see how the real

Thanks! =)

Congrats on starting your MSW program! I quit my shitty job at a nonprofit (I’m not ruling out nonprofit work in the future, but that place I worked for had a very toxic work environment) a few months after I got into my dream school for my MPH degree. I did go into a temp job at a different place after that, since

Yeah, I definitely started crying in the middle of yoga many times this past fall, because of grad school stress.

My dating life is currently nonexistent. =/ I went on some Tinder dates over the summer, but I only made out with one guy, and then realized after that that I wasn’t really that into him, and since then, I feel like turning him down for a 3rd date cursed me (which I know is just me being superstitious, but I still

The Lion King was my first movie too! =)

I do yoga (either at a donation based studio or with free Youtube videos) or do other forms of exercise. When my anxiety gets bad, I just really need to get up and move. Also, Netflix, reading a good book, and going to museums!

I just got a Mirena in August. I think I may have had some unusual crying spells here and there the first few months, but now the times I am in a bad mood seem to be unrelated to hormonal/IUD issues, so it should get better! Though if it doesn’t, don’t be afraid to tell your doctor that you may want another form of
