@Jacob Sheppard: I know that the Amazon pre-order bonus is just a flat black Merc SLS "Stealth Mode" model with a big wing, and since the only SLS I see on the list is just the standard one, I don't think they're listed. All the pre-order cars are just tweaked existing cars if i remember correctly

@ncasler: Perhaps you should look for "THE Top Gear Test Track" on the list. It's there. Otherwise The Stig would have already walked into the Polyphony Digital studio, lifted his visor and killed the entire staff through the power that lies beneath it.

So no Porsche's because of an exclusive deal they have with EA? Am I hearing that correctly?

Nice, Jay Leno's "Tank Car".

I haven't found much interest in getting an RSS reader. In a lot of cases *cough Gawker *cough*, their RSS feeds don't have full articles anymore because it reduces pageviews and ad clicks. So I end up having to visit the full site anyways. If there's a Google Reader based iOS app that can cache full articles from

you mean dropping a gear and punching it while in a tunnel doesn't count?

@Bubs: Right, i completely respect his achievements in rally competitions and extracurricular stunts, but that's in the past. I'm not going to follow him to NASCAR because of that. He's not going to make a difference in that sport. I don't see him succeeding(winning races), drastically altering how that brand markets

He's dead to me.

Damn, that 22 inch Dell monitor does not have HDMI or DP input.

Because my dad is part of the development. Prototype General Dynamics Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle. 29 MPH on water.

+1 for the Leatherman Wave. The one-handed opening blades are great. Most of the inner tools are fine, though the bit drivers/bits are a bit low quality. I use mine primarily for computer based work and i've bent a flat-head bit and snapped one of the eyeglass bits in the first two months. Other than that, it's a

Glad to see they fixed the heat/noise issues that hurt the 480's reputation. Good thing I don't care for bleeding edge GPUs.

I'll keep these in mind. I snagged some super cheap Rubbermaid sets a few weeks ago so i'll use them for a bit before springing for the good stuff.

@conebone69: For GT5:Prologue, you have to press Triangle at the beginning of the race before the game recognizes the clutch (and requires you to use it).

@jodark: I was hoping to not chuck another hundred bucks out for a solution, but that's still on my list of possibilities since I haven't found something like a TV tray that works for cheaper.

@Galaxius: What do you mean lack of a shifter? It's the big knob to the right of the wheel..

@conebone69: Considering a lot of games still don't even support the clutch in any reasonable manner, I went with the GT. I'm hopeful that the full GT5 supports it without any silly button tricks, because then I can consider trading up through Craigslist. The GT rebate is a really good deal to hold you over.

@Pessimippopotamus: Amen. The "pressure sensitive" buttons are worthless. You have like a nanometer of travel where it's not either 0 or 100% throttle.

I bought a PS3 this past weekend just because of this game. And a Logitech wheel. And GT5:P. And i'm currently figuring out a good mounting system for the wheel.
