I understand he argument for why #1 is the best on your list, but I still feel #4 holds the crown. It’s simply the best written of them all, has the best cast, and has a strong emotional undertone due to the sister/brother relationship. In hindsight, it’s a very well executed end to the series that was thrown away…
My wife is always trying to get me to throw away or donate stuff, which I diligently refuse to do. Perhaps I should send her this article and teller her it works for adults as well. At least that way there is a positive spin to our arguments... ;-)
People ride those around the Las Vegas airport all the time without hassle so long as they aren’t at the ticket counter or in line for security.
True, but it stands to reason that if fans are passionate about an ECHL team they would be equally if not more enthusiastic about having a pro team take it’s place.
Vegas actually has a rabid hockey fan base. The Wranglers (ECHL) were insanely popular while here. Unfortunately, The Orleans Casino didn’t renew their lease (probably because rodeos and motocross are making them a shit ton more money) and the Wranglers couldn’t find another place to play.
This pic is really nice, what's it from?
It's a trick! He wants to be arrested!
"Just the other day I got a letter from a school teacher in Texas who had tried to take 60 students to Europe, and the families of 40 of them got the kids out of it because they had seen Taken 2." Texans be dumb.
Alien Invasion shoots right up to number 1 if... it's done a la The Screwfly Solution style.
Ok, #2 is more of a revolution, not an apocalypse. Plugging us into the matrix, or uploading us to silicone or whatever the new tech is doesn't destroy humanity as much as relocates us.
Yeah, one of my bosses in college was a former Rugby player. He always told stories of how brutal and violent the players were to each other during the game, just to have everyone apologize and go out for beer afterwards.
How the heck did UNLV score so high on the horizontal axis?
Having done the same work I can say that there is truth in the article but it is not a fair representation of the job as a whole. The author is leaving out important information that provides context, some probably due to the classified information exit agreements, but other information appears to be lacking simply to…
Thinking your being exploited and actually being exploited are two different things. College football players are not being exploited, they just see the universities making a lot of money and they want a piece. This isn't exploitation it's opportunism.
That is where our positions differ. I do not agree that college football players are receiving significantly less than they should be receiving. There's no doubt the NCAA has turned collegiate sports (especially football) in to a money making monster, but that doesn't mean players should somehow be profit sharing with…
Signing a scholarship agreeement is akin to slavery now? Interesting position. Silly, but interesting. Last I checked college football players are not placed in bondage and forced into a life of servitude against their will.
His lawsuit states he took out a $5,500 loan to cover 'actual costs of attendance.' Sure living off a minimal amount of money sucks, but that's nothing new for the majority of college students. Just because he played football and the univerisity made money off of his participation doesn't automatically mean he was…
