As a government employee we recieve quarterly training on how to respond during an active shooter. The FBI has some great material on Active Shooter incidents, which is the basis for most Active Shooter response initiatives being taught to civilians and law enforcement.
"The thing about mass shootings is that 100% of them are performed by individuals who did not obtain their weapons legally, they obtained them either through theft or through illegal connections."
Just please don't make Wade Phillips your new head coach. Pretty please.
These are fantastic! Amazing what goes on in the minds of children. My kids aren't quite a year old so I going to need to wait a few years for the insanity to begin.
Nevada's law isn't regularly enforced except by the NHP. Unfortunately, we have such a high rate of DUI related fatalities that the cell phone ban gets overlooked most of the time.
Same in Nevada, although now that the law's newness has worn off the police rarely enforce it. Where I've seen it used more often is in a post-accident investigation to determine aggrevating factors.
That was the point of my initial post. You are correct that in the end the DA, judge, jury determine if the officer's actions are appropriate. The advice in the article is how not to get to the point where you need a judge or jury to rule against the officer, because at the beginning of the day the officer can…
Good point. There is nothing wrong with engaging the officer to try and obtain more specific information, but again the officer is gojng to take whatever actions they feel necessary at the time based on all the variables, suspect cooperation and attitude being most (or nearly most) important. If the officer is…
Ya know, videos and advice like that is fine but at the end of the day, probable cause is in the eyes of the police officer. You can argue all you want but if they want to arrest you they are going to arrest you. The DA may not file or it may get thrown out latter, but that won't turn back time and keep you from going…
The term ‘probable cause’ is vague and open to interpretation for a reason. While different states have different standards and police are taught what those standards are, you are still dealing with an individual police officer who is making decisions in real time. A police officer can probably justify to themselves…
I get the arguement about QBs scoring points and making games more exciting which drives up revenue, blah blah blah. I'm not in favor if head-to-head hits that knock players out, or low hits that blow out knees, but they've layered so many protection rules over the QBs the defense is at an unfair advantage.
Thank you, I thought I was the only one having trouble with that.
Well of course, because crack counteracts the effects of alcohol. Everyone knows that, eh!
Arab? Looks more like a Turk to me. Oh wait, most people don't know there is a difference. My bad.
"Hopefully you don't take out a giant block of cheese and eat the entire thing."
Holy Shit! Howard the Duck, I'm sold!
I really need to get a new copy of this film. My VHS copy finally wore out around 1993 and I've been praying for a rerelease ever since. Great soundtrack as well.
Bite Ye 'Ole tongue good sir.
What happened to the days when good sportsmanship was simply good sportsmanship and there weren't any lines to read between. Oh yeah, the days before the internet.
