IIRC, the back wheels steer completely independently from the front and have a separate control in the cab.

But it’s not 12% of living expenses, it’s 12% of fuel expense. Which for me is like 3% of my income. 12% of 3% is less then 0.5% of income, which is well into the “I’m willing to spend extra to get what I want” area. Not that I have a CUV, I have a sports car that gets sub CUV mileage and I’ll continue to, even if the…
My best guess, based 8 hours of charging to go 30km and assuming 6.5km per kwh, is it produces about 500W. Not insignificant but not very much either and probably not worth the added cost and upkeep.
Better not jump any curbs with those 19" wheels either.
A backhoe can be over 20k pounds by itself, add the trailer weight and additional equipment and you’ll be over 30k pounds easy.

Good ideas and poor implementation is pretty much the story of GM. The worst part about it is that after the Aztek’s failure GM concluded that what the market really wanted was body on frame SUVs, so they doubled down on production of those.
Hummer made a shit ton of money for GM. Even though they closed it down, overall it was a great financial move.

That depends. Are you talking about the first time Steve Jobs left Apple and they almost went bankrupt or the second time Steve Jobs left Apple and they continued to be successful?
They work at Tesla, they’re already seeing sausage being made.
Have you ever kicked out a windshield? I have and it’s extremely difficult.
Diesel is dead because the regulatory agencies have started looking at every single diesel engine as possibly cheating. It’s made it much harder and more expensive to get approval and is causing delays in releasing new models. Not to mention that consumer sentiment is now heavily against diesels even in places where…
