It’s a trade-off. Average 250 sized racing drones will last anywhere between 5-10 minutes being put through their paces, depending on the components used and the overall weight. Most will fly 3s (11.1v) or 4s (14.8v) batteries as a happy medium, but there are crazy fast ones that can utilize 6s batteries for insane

Yeah. I have the 55" curved OLED LG in the living room, which ironically is mostly watched by the kids for cartoons. (But those cartoons have GREAT color, contrast, and pin-sharp image - LOL). I also setup a home theater for movies. I carefully selected a projector that could throw a sharp image on the biggest screen

In my basement theater, I sit 14 feet away from a 135" 1080p screen. (The room is 25" long so I could sit nearer of farther away.

These could change movie theaters drastically. Imagine not needing IMAX digital projectors, or the distance to throw the image. Provided your front row cannot perceive the pixels, the depth of the theater behind that can be whatever you want. No projection room needed - just a central room with the servers pushing the

When the prices come down, I’d jump on one of these super-slims with the guts and connections separated with a cable. So long as that cable can be run through a wall; I don’t care how thin or translucent it is..

So basically the OLED licensed manufacturers are finally scaling up what Sony first did with the 11" XEL-1.

Seeing how ludicrously thin the new flagship is, I can picture myself getting one when prices drop, if they don’t reflect like a mirror.

The phones curves at the edge are effectively convex - the opposite of a curved TV or the inside view of ski goggles. The curve on the LG reduces what was previously a whole screen reflection to a thin vertical line, visible at only certain viewing angles, in most cases.

I own the 1080p curved OLED LG. It IS a Kuro killer. But don’t just take my word for it; there’s measured comparisons out there that prove it.

I own the 55" LG curved OLED. (I got a deal on the 1080p version just after they released the 4k one). I can state there’s none more black than the blacks on these sets, regardless of content. There’s no light behind OLED’s - OLED’s ARE the light. So each individual pixel can be as bright, or dark, as it needs to be.

This is clearly form over function. And I get it, somewhat. When I replaced my thicker Samsung with the thinner-screen (but curved) LG OLED, the LG actually stood out futher (at the sides) than my previous TV. The thing is, reflections of the multiple windows and light sources in our living room immediately became a

Reminds me of a story I read about a guy who found his Dad’s ghost car laps on a racing game. He played the game so he could race with his Dad.

Evolutionary, probably not so quick. Inherited genes, definitely. Skinny blonde parents likely equals skinny blonde kid.

One of the factors, yes. Like I said - many things factored in. The point was not in favor of evolution but to illustrate another relatively fast and tangible change. I couldn’t think of one that spanned fewer generations in a pinch.

Changes occur faster than people might think. I can’t walk through the doors of many of the historic houses in my English home town without ducking, because at 6 foot tall I’d bang my forehead on the circa 1700's door frames. Yet a couple of centuries prior and a couple after, average heights were considerably taller.

Came to post the exact same thing.

So pissed they dropped it from Netflix.

Honey, what’s this “Gizmodo premium rate fee” tacked onto our cable internet bill?

Nike Town? I can haz sneekers? I haz ID?

Don’t forget the fact that he released the patents on all the necessary technology. He wants change in the market whether it’s his or Tesla’s “competitors”. He wants ANY car to be able to charge at a standard station. (And yeah, he also wants to sell Giga-produced batteries to competitors at some point too).
