It's the only conclusion I could come to. Either that or society was less litigious back in the good 'ol days of VHS..

I rarely watch TV live. As such I always hit 3x speed FFWD when the ads come on, or I go take a leak or grab a snack. Either way, I haven't watched a TV ad in a long time. If I do watch live TV, and I am not hungry, thirsty, or in need of a bathroom break, out comes the iPad during the ad breaks...

The VCR is not provided by the cable company and it's not the device through which the programs are decoded.

Boxes collapse, pillows compress.

Atwood is well off the mark. It's like saying "Don't learn trigonometry". You might sit in class and ask yourself "when the hell am I ever going to use this", and you may not learn all aspects of Pythagoras theories and advanced trig, but understanding the basic thinking equips you with a way of looking at many

Depends on the age of the machines. Recent ones have electrically operated claws. But older ones used a pulley system and a weighted claw hinge, where the claw opened when lowered and automatically shut when raised. The last and only magazine I read is FHM. And since FHM USA was killed off I read the UK version only. However, being from the UK, I do like catching up on what's hot back home, but I don't like paying the ridiculous international subscription fee for it. So I hope if they do go digital, they allow readers to pick

So it's basically just like the existing scuba or snowsports "HUD" masks, minus the sports-specific protection (i.e. the goggles themselves).

Jeez. I forgot that place existed. I bet going in there now would be like going to your old local bar from your home town. Excited anticipation of catching up with all your old buddies only to find out it's full of students and the two saddest regulars who just never got motivated to move on to pastures greener..

I wish there was the option to select where an image file ends up. I hate that screen shots or image saves for scrapbooking on my IOS device go into the same photo stream as photo snapshots. I also hate that I can only add a photo to another album. I can't move it from the original..

It worked.

The infographic only relates to driving. I take the train. If I want to work while commuting, I do. If I want to get some gaming in (iPad or laptop), I do. (Often I take advantage of this time to do so as I rarely get to play them while my daughter is awake at home; she will insist on us playing her games if i try).
