I once heard that the creation of life occuring on earth as a result of the big bang holds the same probability as that of a tornado going round the globe, passing through every single scrap yard on the entire planet, scooping up junk, and finally coming to a halt at JFK, leaving a perfectly working 747 on the runway

If this requires multiple shots, it's just a spin-off of already availble 3D masks and action figures available out there.

If I were in the market, and I'm not, I'd much rather see a converting tablet laptop (yeah, those things that tablets killed off), with the controlers as pull-out either side when needed, push-in when not.

One thing that bugs me about Receiver is that Citrix seem to have developed it with a complete disregard for Apple gestures. Anyone who's used Mac OS with a touchpad knows that Right-click is a two finger tap, yet in receiver it's a single finger tap-and-hold. They totally could have implemented that into the cursor

Their site shows a 1080p resolution but is it me or does the pictured monitor not appear to be 16x9? Maybe it's just the low angle POV.

I have some vague recolection about historical paintings of religious icons, such as Mary and Baby Jesus where both Baby Jesus as a whole and Mary's face are intersection points. i.e. this all pre-dates photography. Too busy at work to look it up. (Yes, but enough time to quickly check Giz, I know..)

No but I was intrigued by the ..zniak shortening. Joz / Woz. Is that common and are there more iterations of an ..zniak last name? Boz? Roz?

It can't even lift a GoPro without serious mods. Also, the sensors on the bottom get blocked if you hang anything down there. For a conventional copter that can lift a camera you have to spend over a grand. For a tri or quad rotor platform you need something like the Draganflyer and you have to spend 15k..

Maybe the nicest plane that came out of the USA, and I'm a sucker for polished bare metal, but I'll take a Spitfire any day, being a Brit and all..

"More control".

Some vents are hotter than others. "up to" refers to the hottest recorded vent. But the mean temp of any given vent doesn't vary much once stable.

Or it was an incontinent rodent:

You also see them very clearly when your optometrist uses an illuminated scope to examine your retinal wall. Y'know, when he says "look left, now right, now up, now down, and finally straight at the light. Those lines that you see flash around that look like the cracks in a dried riverbed are your veins.

For phones, I've used both, one personally owned device, one work (unrestricted in terms of allowed use). Neither jailbroken, rooted or otherwise unlocked. I own an iPad 2 and have had various Android tablets pass through my hands (I work in tech). I also use both PC and Mac, for various reasons so I can safely say

Only four LED's for the backlight? Horrible.

There are a lot of "gadget" watches on this gadget blog.

Sitting 10 feet away from your TV, you'd have to have a 75" screen to notice ANY difference at all between 1080 and 4k, and you'd only get the FULL benefit of 4K if your screen was 150" diagonal.

Can someone make me an Esquilax?
