I'm sure it feels pretty nice in the hand. A straight brick-like device is unnatural, though we've grown used to it. Also I wouldn't be surprised if this helped with screen glare as well.

This doesn't bother me. If someone else found it worthy of mention, chances are it's worth reading. A once-off mention, in my opinion, isn't half as pompous as you feel it is.
