He actually seemed legitimately sad about what he knew was planned for Tanya. I think that’s why he stayed behind at the villa, even if he wasn’t disapproving enough to help Tanya escape or even warn her.

Ali Wong seems to be a lousy choice of dating partner as she’ll publicly humiliate you the way she did her ex-husband. Even by stand-up comedy standards it seemed mean.

“Inexplicably” attracted to each other? They’re both good looking and powerful. What’s hard to understand about that?

The fact that Bert keeps hitting his head seems like foreshadowing but could just be a red herring. Valentina doesn’t initially seem all that upset about the body that Daphne finds, which could reflect Bert’s age (an elderly guest dying can’t be THAT unusual an occurrence for a longtime hotel employee like Valentina)

Exactly! Katniss was supposed to be better-fed than most in District 12 because of the game she poached but it was a major plot point in the book how her potential in the games was underestimated because she was scrawny.

My suspicion is that Daphne knows that Cameron is about to go to prison with his “sociopath” colleagues and has set up Ethan to take the fall for murdering Cam so that she can collect on life insurance & live happily ever after with her trainer/baby daddy.

If she were Weinstein’s only accuser, this line of argument might be more convincing. But there have been dozens, maybe even hundreds, of similar accusations so where there’s smoke there’s fire. I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his life.

Maybe the show is made for those of us who are fans of the post-apocalyptic genre of movies, TV, and books but who aren’t gamers? Some of my favorite TV series of recent years were in the genre: “Station 11", the first 2 seasons of “Snowpiercer” (that show kind of went off the rails in season 3 but at least the acting

Since when was the Hallmark Channel a “coastal Millennial” thing? Seems to me a “grandma living in the Heartland” thing...

Seems to me a distinct possibility that states could arrest someone who’d received or performed an abortion the minute they crossed back out of the Federal lands.

You DO realize that if you’re worried about germs in a crowded polling place, you can vote by mail? Tons of people did just that, which is a big reason why the final results are taking so long.

Public health emergencies shouldn’t be political. They’ve already been way too politicized during what actually HAS been a legitimate emergency. A state ban on elective abortions is not an emergency, period. Is it inconvenient to have to travel for an abortion? Sure. But an inconvenience =/= an emergency.

Anybody else see the headline and think to themselves: “How in the world can Andrew Garfield be almost 40?????” If you had asked me, I would’ve said late 20's to early 30's.

Something pretentious and boring

She talks about having graduated from Chico State and that’s one reason she’s impressed by Albie being a Stanford grad. Though given Dom is a successful Hollywood producer, it’s entirely plausible that he bought Albie’s way in.

Italians have a tradition of naming the first son after the grandfather. Presumably Bert and Albie are both “Alberto”.

Unless Ms. Funches-Wade gave the child up for adoption, she’s the mother, period. “Birth mother” only refers to someone who relinquished parental rights. She may be a non-custodial mother, but she’s still the mother.

They also interviewed a pro-abortion 58 year old. If you’re going to criticize the WSJ’s choice of interviewees, at least mention that both sides were not within the demographic who might seek an abortion.

I am not obese and was healthy prior to my last pregnancy but experienced a blood pressure spike that required an emergency induction to avoid preeclampsia. I was lucky enough to have good healthcare providers who caught it and prevented a tragedy. But not all American women are as lucky. Serena Williams is in amazing

Sure, but NYC sucks way more. The ‘burbs can definitely be boring but the mortgage cost for an entire house with garage & yard is less than a tiny apartment with no parking, laundry hookup, or even a private entrance. Plus you can actually send your kids to the public schools (my Brooklyn-loving cousin finally broke
