Dogi was just weird.

As an introduction character to the first game, it made sense. However, his character basically forces himself to come along on the journeys with Adol. Honestly, it just comes across as weird. The only adventure where he actually fit in, and the only time he should of ever made a secondary

Well I tip my hat to you then! While normally anything passable as a story will suffice for me, I mainly rely on a strong character to help.

It's been heavily noted that the team that worked on Deus Ex was a completely separate team from Thief.

What alarmed me so much was the departure of character with Garret. I wasn't expecting a mirror performance from previous games, but everyone's favorite kleptomaniac anti-hero is just down right unlikable in this game, and strongly because he's so poorly put together.

Previous Thief titles strongly relied upon strong character development and enjoyable storytelling to go hand in hand with the thieving.

You are spot on, Thief is enjoyable when you look at it from a stealth objective. However, in that same regard one could say that Transformer is a good movie because of the CG.

Mind=Blown.

I couldn't of purchased this fast enough.

Sounds very similar to what I did close to a decade ago.

I come from a very similar school.

At best, my PC's were store bought with small improvements here and there to help me play some games on an average of medium settings, but I was a strong console gamer. It wasn't until 2010 that I finally built myself a powerful PC, and that was primarily for producing

Interesting story to share.

If you don't mind me asking, did you come into Deadly Shadows via Xbox or PC?

The main reason I ask is my first introduction with Thief was through the Xbox, alongside Deus Ex : Invisible War. I wasn't a hardcore computer guy and while both Thief and Deus Ex were games I had heard of, I had

I don't know, with how Flying Wild Hog handled the Shadow Warrior reboot I'd say there's others out there that can do just as much justice to a series.

Honestly, that's an incredibly interesting perspective.

I gave it some thought, and I've always enjoyed FF7 largely as a game. Not only because it was the first RPG I ever purchased (I had played IV beforehand, but never truly played an RPG until then) and still remains one of my largest time invested RPGs to date.

Yo

You know, your initial joke was fine but then you keep commenting on all the posts.

Why? You already got that investment when you made the comment. Feeding anyone who bought into it then takes it beyond a joke, which is what you're doing here.

Take pride in your work and let it shine!

Oh absolutely. I dare say Dishonored felt more like the sequel I wanted Thief to be. This being based upon current generation gaming standards and direction. I didn't mind this, because at the time I didn't expect to get a sequel.

I suppose for myself, Deadly Shadows is less of a better memory and more of a bitter

I hear you on that. It's definitely entertaining, but it's hard to measure up to previous experiences. I almost feel it would of been better for them to just make a new IP. Or at least have the team that worked on Deus Ex : HR to work on this, since they really had a love for the craft they were modernizing.

Honest

Honestly, what I find alarming is it seems that people who like this game can't get over the fact that people like us just do not feel it is worth the price of admission.

I don't think that's meant to be the point, but I get the context from your conversation in this thread, alongside some of the rest of the comments

Alas, you best mark me down too.

Though, to be honest I wouldn't necessarily give it a scathing review either. With a somewhat troubled and secretive development, one can expect a game to turn out poorly and Thief didn't.

However, I've got large quips with directional choices, weird character building and development

Oh gosh completely. When you think about something like PC ports, it's generally a pretty iffy process. Even something like Thief, which seems to of been developed side-by-side, can just be simply a port of the game itself. On that aspect I'm more than impressed.

I really should probably mention that the Thief

Your refusal to believe is right. It's actually noted that this was developed by the same studio, but not the same team.

Also, I think that comparison is quite apt. Haze, you should of been so much more.

Well, if that's the case then actually I didn't misinterpret anything. My apologies for my bluntness and potential rudeness.

As for doing nothing right, sure. I can get that. However, I can also get using that as a statement to represent a shorter answer for something that could also be incredibly wordy.

Piracy is

See, here's what I don't get.

You took the time to reply to a post that didn't involve you in the first place. That's fine, but then you go on to post a video about "Stop liking things I don't like". Ok, what?

So, with that in mind, should FiredHuggababy conform to your opinion just because you and the initial poster
