The discussion is being derailed by your peculiar boundaries you apply to your suspension of disbelief. My logic isn't circular at all. The controls you have in the game are bad. You say that the controls aren't bad, they're realistic because the inability to move while shooting is intentional since that's the way a

Think of the very first encounter in the original game. Long hallway, blind corner, bullet sponge zombie. You have to turn around and run down the long hallway to reposition yourself to prevent from being attacked. If you could back up while shooting, you could contain the zombie while not exposing yourself to attack.

I

This is getting ridiculous.

Really? You're going to nitpick this? Alright, fine. Realism only goes so far in a game, and should never be held sacred at the expense of fun.

Released right at the end of the PS2's lifecycle, most people overlooked the gem that was Rogue Galaxy. In the PS3 era, I wanted a sequel to Rogue Galaxy desperately. Instead we got White Knight Chronicles 1 & 2 (ugh), and Ni No Kuni.

I hold out hope that someday we'll see a current gen sequel that will get this

Their foot stance is also completely incompatible with zombies. Their tactics and training are built around the concept that a half dozen bullets center mass will drop their target, and that being bitten by their target may require them to get a tetanus shot.

I think the issues with the later games that included that option extended well beyond their control scheme.

It was needed from the beginning. The very first encounter in the very first game pits Jill against a zombie which is situated around a blind corner at the end of a long narrow hallway. It forces you to retreat and reorient in order to avoid taking damage. The issue with that design decision should be immediately

Implying that because I don't like bad game design, I'm somehow not a real fan of Resident Evil. Not only are your assumptions incorrect, but your conclusion is as well. Resident Evil games have been getting progressively worse for years. Capcom included the ability to move while shooting in Dino Crisis all the way

"Realistically", I believe that holding your ground while a reanimated corpse shambles towards you is less desirable than taking a couple slow steps backwards while continuing to fire. The net loss in accuracy would be manageable when compared to the possibility of infection resulting in a slow descent into madness

Unless you believe that Resident Evil is irredeemably bad, and an improvement in the control scheme wouldn't help an awful game, I would have to disagree with that statement.

I'm telling you that it is.

Nonsense.

It most certainly does not.

Aside from all of Deus Ex's inherent awesomeness, you have to respect Denton for flying in the face of years of box cover logic: Chin up, eyes up.

Well presumably. After all, his vision is augmented.

According to Famitsu, this is an HD remastering of the 2002 remake, with the goal of keeping the game's sheer terror. Capcom assures that it isn't making any unnecessary changes to the game that will compromise the experience.

No it doesn't.

Ironically, rats would be the best case scenario.

Its like The Walking Dead, except with compelling storylines and characters you care about.

SOON.
