Huh. In the early game, I haven’t found snipers very useful at all. Seems like I’m usually needing to move somewhere fast, and the sniper is lagging behind. But I’m not far in, and I haven’t yet gotten a sniper up to the higher tier abilities.

I totally get deciding that $20 isn’t worth a 2-3 hour game experience. I don’t agree with it, but I get it. Everyone is entitled to decide value for themselves.
That’s some admirable perseverance! I would have tried for a couple seconds, cursed the ADVENT, and then settled for hitting the mech and blowing up the trooper’s cover.
I love this concept. First heard of it on the last Hey Rosetta album, where they have a song referencing it.
Right!? It would have been perfect. Everyone and their dog knows he’s coming back already anyway, why not play with it and try to get people excited?
There’s also an awesome “Load from Character Pool” mod kicking around. I haven’t tested it yet, but it seems to mean that once you’ve painstakingly customized a trooper and saved her to the character pool, you can load all those settings onto a new trooper with the same name just by clicking a button. Which is what I…
It’s probably not that important.
The guerrilla warfare aspect really only makes two major changes to the combat - it drastically speeds up the first few turns of each map, as you can move and scout a bit more freely, and it gives you the drop on the first aliens you engage by allowing you to ambush them (which is INCREDIBLY satisfying). Once you…
I was so prepared for this to suck. My heart has been hardened by so many disappointing or terrible Batman movies (wasn’t much of a fan of Nolan’s interpretation). I was also pretty sure that smushing Batman and Superman together into one film was a recipe for lameness.
This looks cool, and is what I personally really want out of VR: building 3D stuff. Get Zbrush running in there and let me work like I’m actually sculpting a physical object in my hands but with all the flexibility of working on a computer, and I will basically never come out.
“drive like humans, not robots.”
Even if Naruto could sue for copyright, who the hell says PETA gets to speak for him and handle his money?
If Avery is cleared of the crime, then wouldn’t Brendan also be exonerated since it would prove his confession - the only actual evidence they have against him - is bullshit?
All that needs to be said. Comments over.
I’m mixed on the game right now. Backed it, but haven’t touched it until full release. Didn’t want to get tired of it before I had a chance to play the full, finished product.
This doesn’t seem to very accurately simulate being kicked in the balls.
“Star Wars Episode VIII: Captain Chewbacca is in Charge Now, Bitches!” is the movie I REALLY want to see.
Yeah, more experience fighting wars as a magical invulnerable goddess in a metal bikini. Good luck charging into a modern battle as a regular human with a sword and shield.
I was extremely excited for this game - still am, really - but I’m glad I didn’t pick it up day one. Everything I’ve read leads me to believe that when I do eventually grab it in a few months, the modding community will have gone a long way towards turning it into the game I *really* want to play.
Man, Turbulence is amazing. First TF animation I’ve seen that actually cracked me up and was strong beginning to end. Great use of dialogue too.
