She was absolutely a fraud when it came to her credentials and background.

Because Nintendo consoles have positioned themselves as a secondary purchase. XBOX, PS, and PC tend to share the same titles, while most games released on Nintendo can only be found... on Nintendo. People will buy one of those machines as a primary gaming system - not Nintendo's.

Yeah, money does talk. The price point of the restaurant DOES create the expectation that there will be a certain atmosphere. I can't think of any restaurant where I'd be expected to pay $400 AND be expected to have a dining experience like at Applebees/Red Robin/other casual bar restaurants. There IS a reasonable

EA is just the funder of Maxis. EA doesn't exercise creative control over anything Maxis does and you wanna know why? Because when Maxis was acquired by EA Will Wright maintained complete creative control over Maxis in exchange for EA funding his development of The Sims and getting Maxis as a subsidiary.

Strictly/legally speaking, no, restaurants aren't public, they're private spaces available to the public. They have certain conditions imposed on them as any business does, but they ARE allowed to set their own rules and refuse service/remove people. Individuals who enter the premises are invitees, but that doesn't

Two problems - 1) If you paid an admission price, the space is by definition not public. Paying that admission price included an agreement to adhere to the rules set out by the owner of the location, which almost certainly included not disturbing the other patrons.

However, I bet you what happened at Alinea is an extremely, extremely rare occurrence. I think that, once someone breaches etiquette and brings a baby in such an environment, the only solution for everybody is to put up with it. Because any other solution that involves removing the baby and its family is much ruder

Um... not "some" regions. That's fraud, forgery, and a few other crimes in all of them.

If you ignore the video game background, and just focus on the name itself, it's actually not a bad call. Both parts of the name have historically feminine usage (Tali - Hebrew, Zora (no h) - Czech and a few other languages). Both names avoid "plosives", or letters that require stopping air flow temporarily to

If I get a solid game with loads of good writing, gameplay, and awards for $20, I don't care if the box looks like it was dipped in neon puke.

The quote directly stated that the theft wasn't necessary because of Ingrid's finances - completely ignoring that stealing jewelry is NEVER necessary, regardless of personal wealth. It also heavily implies that BECAUSE she was rich enough to not need the items, her motivation MUST have come from mental illness -

The short version is that private religious institutions hire teachers not only as teachers of school subjects, but as teachers of their faith. Much as the government can't dictate to churches who they can and can't hire as priests/preachers/ministers/etc, they can't step in with situations like this either.

Asking about or explaining a shirt is considerably different from someone jabbing a finger in your face and demanding you prove that you're a "real" fan.

Random hostile strangers are not entitled to explanations of sartorial preference. Do you accost random guys in bars and ask if they can justify wearing their Mario shirts?

That's the way I always looked at it!

I'm gonna ask this again - isn't it considered poor form to paste all of the content from one page on another site? I would think this post will cut fairly significantly into Dorkly's traffic for this comic.

The FAA's supposed to develop comprehensive drone guidelines by 2015, and is looking to release regulations on smaller drones next year.

They have a few years to work on it, and they already do have distribution centers in a few major cities (Baltimore, Phoenix, Lexington), as well as some rural areas. Also, I'd argue that this IS a serious proposal, just in the beta stages. Other groups have been working on similar drone shipping platforms for a

I keep hearing the "it won't hide the package" argument, but if it's a 30-minute delivery - why would they need to hide the package? You order it from wherever you are, to have it delivered to wherever you are.
