My late step-father always built these in. His alter ones incorporated a plastic bottom with a couple hooles for breathing. One always had a spare unused sponge, plus a couple rags you wouldn't want out in public—the second-tip-out always had the scissors, pliers and multi-screw-driver, best place ever for them to…
My tomatoes love the sun, and we have a 3-foot front-to-back plot of good soil on the south side between the house and the neighbours' driveway (good neighbours—we can plant there without disturbance). This type of trellis may do the trick.
The subject is soo important—and should never be written without full knowledge of the full body of the text. In pre-outlook days my corporate email client used to have configurable buttons, and I would remove the send button so that i would look at it all first, and only send deliberately. I still reread before…
And if you find a slightly longer screw for the outlet plate, you can hang it on that, so it stays up when you unplug the charger or change chargers.
I have used Everything for the past couple months, and can honestly say it is used Every single day. Not only does it make remembering locations easier, it means I am hardly relying on my Start menu at all for executable programs. It has a very intuitive feel, is totally portable, small, and I can find most anything…
NiftyWindows has been around since 2005, but it deserves a comeback.
zip ties can be about the stongest thing ever. Try 4-5 ties on the gate and I dare most adults to rip it off without tearing apart the entire bannister.
Only 2 days to spring clean? How about a month? Not criticizing—it is a good contest and nice prize, but those of us who need to do it more are the ones who either need more time or a project manager to help us :)
Q10. Comes up Instantly! Is only 1 meg in size. Requires nothing else (runs superfast on my memory stick).
I just hope those who wedge or bottle the seat in front of them do not recline their seat in return.
I love this as a Christmas gift idea. I buy nectar on occasion in 125ml (4 oz) 6-pack bottles, which are the perfect size for a unique host-gift.
daqman wrote, "The trick that bothers me most of all is the way stores price some packaged items as, for example, "two for a dollar" so you buy two of something when you only wanted one. It was a while before I realized that you didn't need to buy two to get the two for a dollar price. All they meant was 50c each."
PDFTKBuilder [www.angusj.com] is still the overall best, being arguably the best gui for the yet to be replace pdftk (PDFToolkit [www.accesspdf.com] ) command-line tool.
I first bought plastic shims, almost identical to the photo above, back in 1980 to shor up bookshelves, instead of attaching to the wall at the top. You can get them from any decent hardware store....
Ant Rename is easy, fully portable, and intuitive. Also, it has a Random feature that most of the others do not have. It has a very clean interface, can use tag or exif info, and did I mention, a Random function.
Every time I cull my massive book collection, I regret it some time afterwards. While I do buy fewer books now than before, I do at least flip through them from time to time for inspiration, or to read 'around a topic', so to me it isn't really hoarding, true bibliophiles cannot hoard, they gather!
Greasemonkey is unfortunately tied to the computer on which the software to run it resides. My USB stick has Neo's Safekeys by Neo Aplin ([www.aplin.com.au])
I voted CCleaner, and always use the Portable version. No Yahoo toolbar. My overall favourite, and not listed here, is Horst Schaeffer's MemPad [[home.mnet-online.de]], a tiny, truly portable, freeform freeware database that he keeps upgrading. The latest versions have features that are for us who are…
Most of the time, there is no table or flat surface at a good height for the shot. My tools: Gorilla-pod (on the backs of chairs, etc.), a string monopod (chain or string attached to a 1/4" eyebolt, and my Lee Valley walking stick with 1/4" bolt. I usually have one of the three on me all the time.
