Why would you create that with CGI instead of a physical prop? It strikes me it would take many fewer hours at much less cost to make the prop, even if it had a greenscreen on it for the display with the logo CGI’d in.

In my opinion probably the best novel to open a Culture series of movies or shows with would be Excession. It gives an excellent setup for the setting and would provide a much more accessible and extensible entree to the series than either Consider, Player, or Weapons would.
