I'm guessing Nintendo are paranoid about the use of their IP because they are (correctly) assuming that some people will do messed up stuff with their characters and create a controversy that damages their image as a family company.

If they drop the price and lose the gamepad, they get my money. And I'm not the only one.

In about 5 years graphics on PS4 will be marginally better on first party games. Multi-platform will look identical. Xbox exclusives will still look incredible. PC will be photorealistic. Approximately 15 people will give a shit because everyone will be streaming Angry Birds VR mission on Chromecast.

I have not owned a piece of Nintendo hardware since the SNES (shocking, I know). It may be time to come back! I think these things look brilliant. I don't care about clam-shell, 3D, or status; I just want an affordable and durable Nintendo handheld. Red and white all the way...
