My problem with Tumblr is that you can hardly tell or see original content anymore—most have been "reblogged" to death. I'll stick with WordPress, thank you very much.

@Seamus McClernan: actually, Black Widow's first appearances had her wearing a mask, cape, and fishnet stockings

Totoro! Seeing the cast of my favorite Mizayaki movie ever done in LEGO just made my day.

Saw it and enjoyed it a lot; this is the X-Men for the movies done right, never mind if it's not canon to the comics.

While I didn't get to see its sequels, the first Phantasm movie gave me nightmares as a kid. I think The Tall Man is still one of the creepiest evil horror film villains ever depicted on screen.

You mean no one remembers The Dallas Quest for the Commodore 64, Atari, Apple and TRS-80?

"introducing a tightened selection standard regarding title lineup to strengthen the revenue base of the Company's digital entertainment segment" — translation: none of those cancelled games had the words "final," "fantasy," "dragon," or "quest" in them.

It becomes better towards the 7th episode? But isn't the series only 10 episodes long? So we'll have to endure a lot of bad stuff in order to get to the good stuff then.

Cobra Commander, is that you?

I never realized it until now, but Storm's full-on Asgardian outfit appears to have been the inspiration for Thor's current costume.

you mean these aren't the next generation of Pokemon?

And that make sit all apparent how lame and ugly most of the new Pokemon from Black & White are—light fixtures, gothic lolita trannies, ice cream cones, garbage bags, rotating gears? wtf were the Game Freak people smoking when they created those latest abominations?

@ezacharyk: It's even worse with Havok—he seems to be a teenager here, and if Cyclops was a teenager when he gets recruited by a much older Prof. X, then Havok is probably now old enough to be Scott's father...my head hurts thinking about it.

I for one enjoyed the episode. I initially thought that the animated Nimoy was a cop-out, but realized that they really did get him to appear even when he already announced his retirement, albeit in voice only, which was no mean feat in itself.

slow news day, huh?

That was hilarious—I hated X3, but now I have to watch Hop.

That "Man in Black" in X-Men: First Class seems to be the movie version of FBI Agent Fred Duncan, who helped Prof. X in the comics.

This Generation is the worst—gears, bags of trash, light fixtures, dessert, gothic lolita trannies, the hell? Pretty soon we'll have flying toilets (water/flying) and flaming panties (fire/normal).

aw crap, now i can't unsee that scary illustration of whatever that thing is.
