I found that my Cable company (Brighthouse) would block some ports on the Modem, so I could not use for a Webcam I had installed. Fortunately for me they left the default ID/Password from Motorola in place so I could make my own changes.....

Years ago I worked with a older lady who drove a v8 Mustang LX automatic. She would insist in driving in the snow in 1st/low gear as "the car can't go as fast as when it was in drive".
I learned to drive in Chicago burb winters in a 72 AMC with 4 wheel drum brakes. It was a guessing game on which direction the car would slide when you hit the brakes.
I would not mind trying out the Bluetooth model ones. I have a cheap $40 Meeelectronic Runaway's I got from Amazon I use often for outdoor activities when I don't want wires.
