Well, the thing about the designs looking the same, is a lot of these game companies are throwing fun out the window, and aiming for some sort of pseudo future science..surrealism. Basically this might be what a battle armor looks like, so were going with this.

Yeah I agree, it really does. When I looked at some of the

I appreciate the response. But jesus christ your late to this party man, look at the date! XD

I’d mark that as a Cardinal sin of game development.. like if your going to make an Action Adventure, with RPG elements, or an Action Adventure RPG... You need to make sure that you don’t break someone’s save.. or you need to make sure, that you find a way to put in a system or something that basically protects that

I’m glad you’ve stayed with Kotaku as long as you have Mr.Ashcraft, because you make it worth coming back. I’m serious. I like your little slices of Japan you give us..

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of umamero... (I dont think I spelled that right?) Whatever the case if you have heard of him/her you know what I’m talking about. It’s flipping amazing the work this individual/studio has done.

I’d say this game is it’s own beast.. um, it does have the stamina thing going on.. and if you don’t manage it right the game slaps the stupid right outta of you faster than you can shake a stick at the problem.

You compare this to Dark Souls.. and I guess we really don’t have a solid melee action RPG game to compare

Thanks for pointing this game out, I honestly had over looked this action RPG... probably because form the sounds of things in the comments it was initially a phone game.

I cracked up when the robots PTSD kicked in initially...It’s funny and not funny at the same time.

*Cracks up*- - - *Stops laughing*

Okay, got that out of the way, um... looks different. Looks different like Kojimas new IP looks different.

It reminds me of the Resident Evil 4 Survival mode...

And it made me think of Capcom, and how they treat their IP.

I read the article out of curiosity. Grateful it stuck with logic, rather than going off the deep end.

I’m half Indian (US variety) so, I can understand tackling the cosplay from an objective.. “Do I actually pull this character off? Are our body types similar” Kind of mentality. I mean that’s one of the way a lot of

Reminds me of doom guy. XD

I stumbled across the Dark Souls video meme accidentally and.. I cracked up. Been a long 12 hour shift and.. it was a weird soothing ointment.

Dammit I missed this when you originally posted apparently. Thanks for keeping us updated on #DeepDown

That was a game I was deeply interested in... and *sighs* It’s amazing to see a game like this turn into something close to VaporWare

Thanks for the reply...

So Nvidia will release it in August.... that’s good, maybe 1080's will finally start remaining in stock at that point. *Sighs*

I didn’t even know games like this existed-until now... I’ll continue to pretend they don’t. >_>;

Being as Japan like South Korea has awesome fiber internet connections pretty much everywhere... It’s surprising to see them go.. “Oh, its our servers that are the bottleneck”... Theirs something funny about that... but its better than saying “Latency” or.. “Lack of broadband” is the bottleneck.

I hope Blizzard doesn’t cave, because if they do, other companies who cannot think for themselves will be like “Oh look at this big company that caved, look at their revenue, we better do the same”

This political correctness bullshit is a slippery slope full of slippery sewer water.

Thanks for sharing! That’s some pretty bad ass concept art/illustrations.

I really do hope you follow up on this story and get the facts. If for nothing else, as an example on ‘how not to screw over a ton of supporters’...

As it stands, what it sounds like is the artist had a really good contract, saw all the money coming in and was like “Eh, fuck it... I quit. Can’t take this.” *Runs off
