The US-centric view of everything is a common failing in the US and it’s media. It’s something that those in the US probably don’t notice, but is fairly obvious to the rest of us. A bunch of the claims rely on the US being the only nation on the planet or all other nations working in exactly the same way as the US.

Never trust a scientist who wears a cross necklace outside of their clothing.

She needs to burn in hell for fanning the flames of stupidity that are already out of control.

Honestly? I think I feel a little nauseous lol. There’s A LOT going on in that video. I feel like someone tied me to the end of a bungee cord and started throwing me into a tornado with strobe lights and fireworks attached.

I may be an outlier, but I do complain a bit about it when it breaks some immersion and breaks the game more than it helps. More like guns being too OP/never jamming in Total War games. I realize even those games are not supposed to be historically accurate (Rome has elite units that never existed), but like I said,

Rip out every second row of seats in commercial planes to start and make some more legroom. Also don’t sell middle seats in a bank of three seats!

They should social distance our knees from the back of the next seat.

I’m going to assume that you’re young, like early 20s. If I’m wrong, please forgive me, but it sounds like you’re young. Now, if so, you most likely have many decades left to do all the living you don’t think you’re doing now.

I want a million dollars. We can’t always get what we want. You’ll be able to do those things again. It probably doesn’t seem like it, and I am sure you’ll hate me for saying this, but it’s important to come to terms with not getting what you want.

The models and “guesses” (which aren’t guesses) are based on what experts in the field are saying. I don’t have any way of personally verifying that, so my only choice is to trust the experts.

What you’re saying is patently untrue. The death toll will be at least an order of magnitude higher if people start going out. It hasn’t been nearly long enough yet to see a reduction in most places, but in the places that were hit early and took action quickly, we ARE seeing progress.

The world is not turned off. Everybody is staying in to protect the vulnerable and the health care system from collapse. I realize it’s not helpful to say this, but it’s temporary. This will pass.

I truly hope that when you say that

embraced that everything is cancelled FOR NOW.

It’s the difference between “later” and “never”.

That’s an important distinction. Our lizard brain understands “never” and can/will panick. But it does not understand “later” as well.

I don’t mean forever. But it would be foolish to pin our hopes on specific end dates.

I doubt it’ll be like this once the main threat is over. “Social distancing” is to protect the healthcare system from being overwhelmed. When enough people have herd immunity to the virus, it won’t be able to run out of control anymore. A better president, restocked medical supplies, and an actual pandemic response

It’s not that you have nothing to look forward to. This will end eventually, as these things always do. The point is that if you are holding out hope that this is going to be over in two weeks, it’s a false hope, and you’re only hurting yourself with it.

We should assume everyone has it at this point, either as a non-symptomatic carrier, or pre-symptoms.

Yeah, I don’t agree with this video. In a sudden situation, almost nobody will be ready to deploy this technique properly if they can even think to do it. Practicing this to get proficient will get them stretched parking brake cables and worn shoes (if applicable). It’s much better to keep both hands on the wheel and

This entire article and linked video is terrible advice. The editors should remove it out of concern for public safety. ABS braking systems are specifically designed to reduce stopping length in slippery conditions and the proportioning is actively changed when you are using a four-channel system designed anytime in
