I agree. This is a ridiculous article. I hate the way parenting is lauded as The Most Amazing Bestest Thing Ever. I'm sure it is - if you want kids. Did we not read that article on abuse just a few days ago? Not everyone is even cut out for the job, and some are qualified and don't want the job anyway.

I strongly think only those who feel very deeply that they want kids should have them. If you are unsure at all, it is better to err on the side of not having kids. Even when you desperately want them, raising children is a difficult, inconvenient, often unpleasant and thankless task.

So, if you have children because you wanted children, you are likely just as satisfied with your life as a friend who does not have children because he or she did not want to have them.
