Not to entirely discount American men (because we don’t deserve it), but part of it also may be that you were an American outside of the US. Some people find foreigners more ‘interesting’ (ie someone from country ‘x’ is more interesting outside of said country, all other points indifferent).

I doubt it - TWD is one of the biggest shows on TV whil WTR was a no name show that barely anyone watched. :shrug:
