I believe there is an option for The Not So Long War to shorten things down time wise as well. The game doesn’t magically become brutal unless you set it to be, but you can definitely brutalize it.

The reality of the XCOM project is that not every mission succeeds. Sometimes, one of your people will not make it home. Sometimes, none of your people will make it home. It’s all fine and dandy to 100/100 every mission with no losses ever, but the experience is magnified intensely similar to Diablo 3's Hardcore mode…

I’d assume people going for this already have a 3DS or New 3DS, both of which IIRC play DS games. This isn’t like a 3Ds getting chopped in half, this is an old DS/DSL getting new life as a dedicated GameBoy.

How would you compare this to say, Secret Hitler? That had a $50K goal and hit more than a million, with the exception that it has been played and play tested and created by the folks who made Cards Against Humanity. Is it acceptable if the final product is existent already?

All the maps, including future maps are already free. I don’t know where this rumor came about that R6S maps would be cost-locked. The season pass users get early access to the maps for a week(?) IIRC and then everyone can have at them.

Coincidentally enough, I set up VA for World of Warships and played the carrier using only my voice and mouse to pan the camera around. Probably went a little better *cough* than HS did :P
