I hope the readers here take note of the surnames and ancestry of the road workers who lost their lives here. Almost a year ago to the day (March 23, 2023) 6 workers were killed on another part of the 695 beltway when a car crashed through a work zone, and most of those workers were also from central America,…
More toe-in-cheek than anything
The real crime is that he didn’t throw it on a grill after a good dry rub, amirite?
Nah it’s not that. Even with his fame in Yellowstone, he’s a C list actor at best. This isn’t going to get him roles. If anything, studios will shy away from hiring him because of toxic publicity.
Ok, as an airline pilot I can tell we do not assume you are drunk and kick you off. Here is the rule; If you appear intoxicated by federal law we cannot allow you on the flight. That’s it, not even actually drunk, but if you stumble up, slurring words, and acting like an ass then yeah, no ride for you
also, still with…
Yeah, that’s a Canadian thing. In the U.S. you’re only required to show a photo ID to TSA at the security check point, you’re not at all required to show ID to the gate agent when you board the aircraft.
I was instinctively going to make a “Florida Man” comment until I realized he’s from Texas. Then I searched for his name and at least he went to Florida A&M University. The cosmic order remains intact, whew.
As much as I hate to side with the cops, this is analogous to a well-funded stakeout, which is definitely a legal practice.
“The plane was made by Boeing, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it came out that something was wrong with the plane.”
That’s not true at all. You should go read the most recent annual report from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to see how much they give and where they give.
“Charities” like this and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are…
While I agree with this to some point, the fact that Elon isn’t even trying, is laughable. B&MG gave out $7bn in ‘22 and $59bn since inception. They also employ some 1,800 people, these two organizations are not the same in almost any manner.
Agree. This weird level of snark and “know it all” attitude is really off putting.
“we wouldn’t be surprised if it came out that something was wrong with the plane”
That Netflix production was a speculative docuseries, made in the same vein as Ancient Aliens and the countless “Did Hitler Survive?” shows on The History Channel.
This approach has been tried before, with dismal results. In the 1960's the Soviet Union built their N-1 moon rocket as their version of the U.S.’s Saturn V Apollo. It too had multiple small engines in a cluster, a total of 30 in the first stage, with 10 million pounds of thrust.
I have no idea if this post will do traffic, but I love when Jalopnik publishes just completely random stuff. 10/10 :)
Use case is an excellent point.
