The first 7 years of routine maintenance on a Ferrari are included in the purchase price. https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/auto/car-part-services , see #3 The scheduled routine maintenance plan offered for the first 7 years of life of all Ferrari cars is called 7-Year Genuine Maintenance.

It is a European thing and is not really a performance point anymore.

Says the guy that still holds up the C3 as the pinnacle of corvette. We get it, you’re old and the styling is not for you. And that’s okay.

The authors do not write their own headlines, some editor at Jalop (at best) scans the article and comes up with the most click-bait title that comes to mind.

What about the length comparison?

Yeah, but you can sell your F-150 or Silverado any day of the week without Elmo threatening to sue your ass into oblivion.

Exactly. the article states the cybertruck is ‘nearly 8 ft wide’, but that is for the mirrors. The Cyber truck is 80" wide (as in 6 2/3 ft wide) , 95" with mirrors.

It ain’t less revenue. The government collects the same revenue.

No , I did not hear anything from them until a month before delivery.  Glad they hooked you up though.  I hope you’re enjoying the Rivian, ours has been great.

How do you think the tax “break” is paid by the government?

Ah ha! Someone that actually understands what the word ‘annoying’ means. Good grief some people are thick.

For those of us that cannot get the tax credit on our EVs - sure it is. I ordered my Rivian in 2021 assuming a tax credit, received it in 2023. In the interim the tax law changed so I could no longer get the tax credit. That’s annoying.

Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex will all revoke your ability to accept credit cards for surcharging for credit card transactions, with very rare exceptions.

The income phase out for the EV tax credit is annoyingly low - you must be under $150K adjusted gross income as a single buyer , $300K for a married filing jointly to qualify for the credit.

why we keep on allowing ourselves to be ripped off like that?

Nice , in theory. I’m assuming you refuse to accept any rewards from your credit card provider, right?

Next time you go to get gas and curse out the gas station for the increased prices of card transactions, direct that frustration toward the source of the problem, the greedy greedy banks

Interchange is also much lower in Canada , a card transaction that costs 3% here is going to be closer to a 1% fee in Canada.  So there isn’t as much to bake in.

You are close. The editor of course got the headline wrong:

The part about the hold is very true and it quite a lot of BS on their part.
