You say they are in bad shape... the full year 2022 numbers are not out yet. In 2021 BMW sold more 2.52M cars , more than any year except 2019 (2.54M) , up from 1.85M in 2012.

Seriously. I don’t care for BMW, I had a bad experience in a BMW dealership as a car-crazy teenager asking questions about a model I had seen on the road. Haven’t stepped back in a BMW dealership since (10 cars later, including 2 Panamera and a Cayenne).

I see this all the time as well. You can try flashing your lights at these people (I’ve tried both the highbeam flash as well as turning my own lights on / off ) but they almost never figure it out. Probably because they are blinded by their dashboard still being in daylight mode...

As evidence of this, the owner included in-car footage of himself at Virginia International Raceway turning in a 2 minute, 17 seconds lap. For context, Car and Driver lapped a McLaren Senna around VIR in 2019 in 2 minutes 34.9 seconds.

On Google and in pictures of the accident there doesn’t appear to be a light at that intersection

So true about Massholes. My dad grew up as a Boston driver, he still swears that as long as you keep two wheels in the approved lane you can do whatever else you want - drive on the sidewalk, drive across the yellow lines...

I’d also add to your list the All wheel drive that is common on many of them.  You wouldn’t know from this article (ugh) but the base EV6 is RWD and the EV6GT is AWD.  

No manual. If they wouldn’t produce a manual for the high volume base vehicle, why they would introduce one for the lower production volume hybrid?

See the many other comments - the big plane would have been in the blind spot of the smaller plane. There are (unconfirmed) rumors that the big plane had deviated off script due to a mechanical issue.

As such, it is currently impossible to speculate on what happened in this incident, apart from what can be seen in the video.
