Oh I agree (on the under-reporting), but I think it is hard to argue the under-reporting for ride-share is any different than under-reporting for society writ large. And that’s my point - when ride-sharing statistics reflect society , that doesn’t scream ‘plague’ to me. It just screams - society sucks.

Are you arguing that the ride sharing events are under-reported relative to the rate of under-reporting for the general statistics?

You should do a follow-up posting with “clever features”.

That plague the major ride hailing apps

Well, my engineering laptop is around 3k in parts alone, let alone for all the time IT needs to set it up.

I’ll assume you meant to reply to someone else, because I didn’t say anything about the tire brand.

Nice find, I gave up on trying to find a picture where the labelling was readable.

Agreed - one of the chutes definitely filled, I don’t think the second ever did, and then the first collapsed.

bI too wondered about the chute. Did it release as consequence of the failure (perhaps damaged), because the driver sensed the accident, or because the truck had reached the braking zone of the run anyways (this seemed unlikely to me, as the engines appeared to still be full throttle).

There is a pretty good picture online where you can see the failed tire on the left side.

Agreed, direct match for a RR.

Agreed, the pyrotechnics are on a closer jetway of the runway, not where the truck was running. “The Wall of Fire” has featured at other Shockwave appearances:

I like the thinking. The challenge here is the tiny size of the market. the App they discuss - TrackSecure - has 5,000 users? No one is going to build anything sophisticated for that small an audience.

It’s more about the dicks set loose on the track thinking they are Rosemeyer. You can be cruising around quite safely and get cleaned up by said out of control dick.

All fuel pumps in the US are required by federal law to use tap-to-pay, so skimmers aren’t a problem for most.

It is ~17" shorter than the R1T.  The rear wheels are basically where the gear tunnel would be.

Well if one hasn’t ridden a bike with clips or clip less pedals what’s left?

toe cages are (more) commonly called toe clips.

Agreed, that was my point with the original author, throwing shade at the white house for “claiming” his foot got stuck, when that’s obviously what happened in the video.
