It’s understandable (though morally reprehensible) why they defend big-name coaches in big-money sports, like a head football coach. But they could hire any Joe Schmoe to be an assistant softball coach and not be really suffer…

John Wall was very exciting, and very good, but his numbers never indicated he’d be the best player on a championship team. Lots of sportswriters I respect talked about how great he was, but I never understood it.
