Cincinnati man makes a Skyline to the dugout.

Plethora is a word Yosemite Sam would use for comedic effect.  Everyone else just sounds dumb.

Obviously the wrong one.  Shows up in the 1940 census.

Good stuff all.

Charlie Hicks is actually LC Hicks, still of Greenville, SC.

Or went broke.

He didn’t own the land.  Actually was in trouble in September 1951 for claiming that he did in order to obtain a loan in the amount of $2,000.  This happened after July and August races rained out.  Looks like a very shortlived effort that got snakebit by weather.

LC Hicks was alive and living in Greenville in 2014.  Born 1939.

Air Base referred to as Textile speedway in an article about rain outs. Looks like a track that hosted exactly one race before the owner went to jail.

The owner found himself in legal trouble September 1951, which presumably led to the end of the track.

Looks like the speedway was alternately referred to as Textile Speedway. Results from April 15, 1951.

Jeffrey Leonard had the flap down. Mitchell was just an unrepentant mauler.

Please take Bernie Brewer.
