From the Travel Diary of Doctor William Octavius Brightsmith, MD 14 Oct 18XX
Time enough to play is time enough for research. Yes, my fellow technocrats, I do enjoy an occasional romp through the jungle. We’re on the endless search for the panacea; but must we be so naive? I, for one, believe to live forever is to live

I was thinking the same thing.

How you gonna mention “The Hunger” and not mention that David Bowie is in it?

I know it’s too early, but I will bet ONE MILLION dollars this will not be a good movie. Based solely on the cast, I can tell this will be a sub-par film. I’m going to watch it, and I hope I’m wrong, but sometimes you can just tell.

I actually was very much against this adaptation of the comic book. But I watched the pilot, and it was surprisingly not bad. I guess, like you said, it was charming.

best idea ever! GO GO GO GO!!!!

It sounds like the same brilliant thought process behind the "adaptation" of iZombie.

All right, to solve the puzzle, I just picture myself with one other person with green eyes. Let's say both of us have green eyes. We are told at least one of us has green eyes. I know the other person has green eyes. So, that night at midnight, when the other person doesn't turn into a sparrow, I know then that I

It looks like Ellis' run will have nothing to do with Alan Moore's run. But, in any case, you should read Moore's run. It is a wonderful piece of work.

Reminds me of the time I visited the island of Kos, Greece. And it had a ton of feral cats all over the place. I took pictures, but never posted them.
Also, to me, it seemed like Athens had a lot of stray dogs.

Rogen is unexpected. But I almost think he would be a person that would be very faithful to the material. (as faithful as one can be on TV).

You also have to remember Preacher is a dark comedy and a lot of the extreme violence and f'ed up shit is for the comedy of it.
Though, I stopped around the 40's also, it just started getting too righteous and.....preachy.
But I can't wait too see the show!

Oh, it didn't ruin his writing for me! I like Crossed. I hope my post didn't give off the impression that I don't like Crossed or Ennis' writing!

I shall definitely hunt down some Faust and check it out. I think, maybe, a long time ago, I've perused one issue. I just can't remember if I've read multiple issues. Thanks for the recommendation!

Yes, they had to continually top themselves. But I guess I'm referring to the whole series/concept, not just the first Ennis run.

Crossed by Garth Ennis

I thought it was a great episode. And it was awesome how they just straight out discussed the exact number of regenerations the Doctor gets.

And I know this may be letting the writers off easy and whatnot, but it's somewhat silly to try and point out plot holes in Doctor Who because for one it's Doctor Who and

But, my point is: if Pa Kent could go back and save the dog, and no one automatically thought "Oh my! he must be an alien super being!" Then, why couldn't Clark save the dog and perhaps just miraculously not been killed. People have survived tornadoes before, and lightning strikes, and even falling out of

I'd just like to recommend the book The Art of Dramatic Writing by Lajos Egri.
The author originally intended it for writing plays, but it has been accepted as a manual for writing in any medium.
It's wonderful and clear and gives great advice.
The first chapter talks about how you may have a great idea, but you find

Now playing

All of these are awesome.

This may not be the place to put this, but the Pacific Rim one reminded me of this:
