I don't think draft pick are severe enough for game tampering. They need to start vacating wins if they want to put a stop to it.

That's the point. His stock is very high right now. It makes since to try to cash in now while he is over valued. If he doesn't work out in the NFL he can go back to school. Its his decision, but if you weigh the risks versus reward, school gets a backseat.
They didn't they just tacked extra rules onto it in order to make it more clear. First they added the "football movement" then they added the ground crap.
Please see my other posts where I clearly indicate I agreed with the call on the field. However if you're going to play the devil's advocate against everyone you should at least see their side of the story.
I feel bad for the Ref on this one, He was put in a bad spot with his call pretty much deciding the game. When in that position you gotta go by the technical definition of the rule, He made the right call it was just a shitty one.
The only thing stopping Dez from tucking that ball and going to the ground was the fact that he was on the 3 yard line, He had a win on his mind.
If they're going to the ground, steps are removed from the equation. It then becomes a "process" and the ground can act as a defender. It was a technically correct rule, but anyone watching the game can see that Dez has full control of the ball.
Tommy Craggs is/was the editor in chief here on Deadspin he has been promoted to be the editior of Gawker proper. He's basically getting an in-house promotion and won't be around the Deadspin as much.
I was able to get a student loan kicked back to the original agency. they then marked it as current for all the missed payments and the collection agency removed their act completely. It was a big turning point for me credit wise.
Bought my wife one of these and she still had ice in the bottle after working 8 hours. Love these especially with the straw top.

At full speed he was grabbing his facemask and rocking it. Hitchens was pulled into him and probably didn't have a choice of running into him. I do agree with you on the offsetting penalty. I just hate how everyone has this conspiracy theory that it was a call for Dallas when the reffing was inconsistent for everyone.
There is a vine out there somewhere with the whole movement, but Hitchens is clearly getting his head moved around and it's more than a oops moments. I don't think he could have turned his head to look for the ball if he wanted to.
I'm stealing this.
It's called Marketing. I remember when I worked at Burger King that if you added lettuce tomato and onion to the double cheese burger it cost less than the Whopper junior even though the junior was a single patty. No one wants to go through all that though so they just say Whopper Jr. and go about their day.
It requires the defender to take a bad angle AND run straight without breaking down to control their speed. By the time you get to the NFL most defenders can do both.
