Close, but there’s a bit more to its origins. Ura Zelda was planned to be one of two N64DD addons for OoT while the game was early in development. It would’ve patched in reworked dungeons and new enemies, and the second one titled Zelda Gaiden would’ve added a new adventure. The working theory was that part of Ura Zeld

I’m pretty sure news reports had nothing to do with it. I see hacks without any clout get taken down all the time. The page on the hack is hosted on Github, which I’m sure Nintendo does pay attention to; they’ll just host it elsewhere if it comes down to it.

If Nintendo actively goes after ROM hacks like you think, romhacking.net wouldn’t exist by now.

I’m with you there. I’m disappointed that off the heels of Control, Remedy would hop into something that looks so painfully formulaic and by-the-numbers.

Damn, that arrow flew true AF.

I can understand the frustration around this news, as we’re at a point where there’s literally no confirmed first party release dates to look forward to. People probably wouldn’t give this Direct Mini much thought under different circumstances.

Kudo: But personally, the more restrictions there were, the more excited I got. They may look the same, but we put in some elements in which their personalities are slightly different, so you can tell the difference and you think, “Hey! Are you that Toad from back then?” Toward the end of development, I could

I was in the same boat with Crucible. The first I heard about it was when it was un-released. Then while I was doing a Google search about this game, I learned that they apparently have their own game engine, too.

Humble Bundle is running a sale on Capcom stuff, and while it would be nice to try out RE7, my leased fixed wireless junk started crapping out and dropping my internet in sporadic, yet consistent half-hour to 1 hour intervals. And my ISP can’t drive anyone out here for 2 WEEKS.

It just chugs along for 60 hours, and then stops. You could bow out of the story at any point in the game and still take away as much as someone who played all the way through.

Game Pass is pretty great, the best thing Microsoft’s done in a long time. It’s certainly scratched my itch for some of the roguelikes and isometric titles.

I agree they should use the IP to make something larger in scope, though I think the MMO ship has sailed a long time ago.

Hell, they have an entire theming engine in place since launch, and they never made more themes outside of the 2 simple light and dark ones.

I guess any semblance of quality control for the eShop died with Iwata.

My wrists hurt just from looking at these stills.

70 bucks, and to be loaded with gambling. They know what they’re doing.

All this is in its early phase, as it’s currently not 100% guaranteed to work on your PS2, depending on what DVD player firmware it’s running, and homebrew support is limited. But it’ll probably improve pretty quickly.

Will be hopping into VR in between some web training sessions. There’s some mods I wanna try for the Doom port to the Oculus Quest, and Trover Saves the Universe also got pushed out onto the Quest platform the other week.

This is The Pokemon Company getting in bed with Tencent for China money. I give it 1.5 to 2 years, tops, from launch to shutdown.

It does. Rollback is implemented alongside the typical delay-based methods, and kicks in when incoming inputs start to arrive late, or at least that’s how I understand it. But Capcom implemented it wrong in SFV, and in its current state, it’ll take money and time to fix that they don’t want to invest.
