Market pressure has led to consolidation of the auto industry and harmonization of products across markets (e.g. The Chevy Cruze sold across four continents is essentially identical. I can’t believe that for the sake of a four-year presidential term the car makers would invest in making their products MORE

You gotta have the hay to feed the horses!

Is that a burning Citroën C3 at about 4:25? I do not like this future.

Yes, but that fuel cost is distributed over hundreds and hundreds of fill-ups; it’s not seen as one big out of pocket cost. $12K for a battery in your bricked Tessa is a big, one-time payment. Unless they’re financing them, but are people going to want to finance that on their 8-10 year old car?

More like AMATEUR trailer backup assist, amirite?!

Isn’t reaching out to a Wyllie what got us into this mess?

If you are trying to convince actual rich people you are rich, a car alone is really not going to do it. Because you’re also going to need the correct shoes, wristwatch, label on your sports jacket or sweater, etc. Try buying a Ferragamo belt from the local “buy here pay here” dealer.

Did somebody say Brougham?!?! Where’s Murilee?!

That's got to be power steering, yes?

You’ve got to you’ve got to name it front to back. It’s the only correct way. I give you the Mustarovette.

It’s easy to tell none of y’all have kids, because eff messing around with car seats in a two door. A four-door G3X would be great though.

Maybe so!

Huh. Free energy feels like a big jump from a technology that is currently on the road through multiple automotive OEMs and tech giants. Maybe magic, but I think just outside the scope of the video.

Maybe you saw something I missed, but the video appeared to me to explain why widespread adoption of autonomous cars would fix traffic, but was silent on how we get to that point.

I bet there is a threshold percentage of autonomous vehicles on the road where the networked intelligence is sufficient to “absorb” human error and keep things going. And I bet it is well under 100%, just as it is not necessary for everyone in a population to be vaccinated for a particular disease to achieve herd

Not long ago I was driving over the Mississippi River on the Poplar St. Bridge in St. Louis. A couple hundred yards over, on the McKinley bridge was what must’ve been custom rail cars moving six blades just like these across the river. It was an amazing sight, seeing those blades move over the water: The train was so

Grown ups!

Unless I missed it, I’m surprised you don’t mention cost. Full frame trucks are cheap to stamp out and weld up; it’s what makes them so profitable for the companies. Why mess with that formula?

You’re giving D.J.T. too much credit for his ability to use punctuation.
