Sorry Tavarish. I only see a very small slice of your life. I'm certain you are multitalented and multifaceted.

HA-my friend's 325e had one of those - the supplier that made it was Webasto, which it said in small letters on the crank handle. So we came to call the sunroof "The Webasto."

Of course, I will fail at some point, but I'm hoping to last longer than an electric motor.

My bossess, who is the CFOess of my company, totally agrees.

Had one of those on my '85 Jetta. We called it the "wee window". Great suggestion.

Hand crank sunroof. Minimalist and lovely.

I marvel at you after all these years.

The posts from Tavarish are always interesting and entertaining to read, and I come here to get interested and be entertained, so that's good. And while it's great fun to fantasize about buying an Aston Martin or whatever, Tavarish is kind of a one-trick pony when it comes to practical advice. Tom's posts are more

What's EGT?

honest question: is there any instance where being on TV has added to the value of an otherwise ordinary (I.E. not one-offs like the batmobile, etc) car?

There really ought to be some driver training with these. It's like selling a machine gun to somebody who's only ever fired a .22.

Great comment. The only caveat I might add is that the 80's car can't get up to 120 MPH in the time it takes to sneeze the way this Hellcat can.

I'm voting CP just for the Balkan joke. I lol'd.

isn't this the one that amputates rich peoples' fingers?

Look at those J79s smoke!!

That interior pic reminds me of those occasional stories where the bear gets locked inside the car and thrashes everything into an unrecognizable mess of vinyl scraps and wire fragments. CP.

A surge of dollars into Cuba from American collectors who want these cars would be an interesting turn in US-Cuba economic relations. It's probably the best outcome for all involved.

this isn't worth 30,000 but I wouldn't be shocked if it went for surprisingly close. V 70 R wagons are rare and manual wagons are the rarest of the bunch. I'd be interested to see what this goes for.

That's what I'm saying too- whelmed seems like the more desirable state of the three.
