Agreed. Love these, but some of them got a little wacky. This has a nice balance of wacky and actual talking about cars.

Correct. Ford did this for precisely one reason: to make F 150s lighter. Or less heavy. Depending on your point of view.

The newest one. The leaps forward we're seeing in power, efficiency, clean-ness, smoothness, etc. are truly astounding. Internal combustion engines may or may not be the future for cars, but they're getting so much better so fast, that they seem to be part of the equation for a long time to come.

It seems like the underlying notion here- illustrated particularly well by the newer examples on this list- is that conventional auto body technology (read: welded steel stampings) is probably about as good as it's ever going to get. I'm sure manufacturers could make them stiffer, lighter, etc. but I bet they're well

I'm tired of being critical of Acura.

Yes! Don't know why this isn't getting all the nominations. Small enough to be a good city car, big enough to be both actually useful and not terrifying on a freeway/motorway. First thing I thought of too.

Which is exactly why we should welcome self-driving cars. Humans aren't rational enough to do things such as driving cars in a manner that makes it better for everybody; we impute our morals "He shouldn't just go ahead of me like that- it's NOT RIGHT" and fragile egos "You dare go in front of ME? I'll show you!" into

Doesn't Boehner look like he's fantasizing about bopping Nancy right between the eyes with that gavel?

Does anybody know- is there a wing delete option from the dealer/factory for these cars?

It takes a ton of balls (literally) to be a rally racer.

The land is probably able to be remediated, but this story is so ingrained in the local memory here (Times Beach is only about 20-25 minutes from downtown Saint Louis on a straight shot down Interstate 44) that I don't think you could pay anybody to live there. You can see it clearly from the highway in the winter

Having paper cones does not automatically make speakers bad or cheap. Many fine and even high-end speakers feature paper cones; paper is lightweight for low inertia and good frequency response. We should be annoyed by bad speakers, whatever material they happen to be made from.

Not every company can continue to pick up market share indefinitely.

The gullwings kill the B-pillarless aspect of the big coupe, which in my opinion is what makes it special; that long, sweeping, tapered shape that is the side windows, especially when they're both rolled down- it's pleasing to the eye. Still, if for whatever reason you want one of these, the market isn't exactly

If we're all judged by the worst thing we've ever done, I fear there's no hope for any of us.

"Not everyone installs roll cages into their Camry/Civic/Fusion..." I would edit to say "Virtually nobody installs...."

Nice fit & finish, amico!

These get better and better! I pick the Pug just because it's so unexpected, and also because the first girl I had a serious crush on drove a silver one. (If I can't pick cars because of sentimental reasons on the internet, then what is this column for?)

There IS a button for none of the above- you operate it by not pressing either of the other buttons.

The way the industry is consolidating I didn't know there were ten airlines left.
