@willwood: Microsoft has had an upgrade tier for every one of their OS releases, so I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about.

@OCEntertainment: "...the bulk of Snow Leopard's new features are under the hood."

@FaustianSlip: It's not so much the fact that the version number is going from 10.5 to 10.6, but the feature list isn't that huge. I certainly think Apple is within their right to charge for Snow Leopard, but trying to make an apples-to-apples comparison of Leopard > Snow Leopard to Vista > 7 doesn't really resonate

@Dear_God: No, it's designed - primarily - for a younger audience, so there's nothing you can do that'll take more than 10 minutes at a time. Incidentally, that approach works out well for adults who don't have a whole lot of time :p

@Tyr4nt: I haven't spent huge amounts of time in the game, but since there's no zone/region-wide chat channel, there's less opportunity for jackassery on the part of the players. In fact, my interaction with other people was pretty minimal, but I wasn't really looking for that kind of thing.

@NeroCivet: Simple syrup would mix in well cold, which you can make in batches before hand - make a 1:1 mixture of granulated sugar and boiling water, bottle it, and store it for about a month or so. (Alternatively: buy it at the store)

Hacksaw Jim Duggan? People still search for him?

@rawfan: Oh, unbunch your panties. It was a set up for the punchline.

@RaulCragus: Right, it's not really a good poll since versatility is important. I mean, really:

Forgive my skepticism, but I kind of find it hard to believe that all (nearly) 10,000 people that voted on this actually run a home server?

@Matthew L. Rhoades: Really? You're either the biggest porn collector in the world or you're fishing with dynamite.

I don't know who GhostCrawler is, but I don't think that a company employee posting on the official forum really constitutes a statement from the company. If they wanted to make an "official" statement, they have channels to do so.

This just strikes me as "if everyone did (x) then everything would be fixed." Should we really be worried about the minute amount of CO2 that's released into the atmosphere when I search Google? Or should I pick up a phone book? How much carbon does that cost? How much carbon did I release into the atmosphere by

@NeVeRMoRe666: When people make fun of a teenage girl who kills herself over body issues, flagging a level as inappropriate to piss people off isn't all that surprising.

@Spoony Bard: Even if "guilty until proven innocent" is the worst system you've ever heard, it's much, much better for the game company. An article on Kotaku about a level being taken down (and probably put back up Monday or Tuesday) is far, far less embarrassing than a story on the 11 O'Clock news of someone saying

@Shachihoko: Nintendo is still having trouble keeping up with demand after 2 years. If anything, they should raise the price so that the people who want one can get one for (say) $275 until they have enough stock to go lower again.

This is the one thing I really missed about my Blackjack. But in any case, 10MB OTA should be fine provided that it doesn't apply to Wifi hotspots. Chances are there's still a Starbucks or B&N that you can park outside of for a minute or two, considering the alternative is going home and syncing.

"$100 for a mouse? No way!"
