The Web Clipper alone gets Evernote my stamp of approval. If any of these others have the same functionality (none mentioned in the article/slides) I’ll give them a look.

I’m really surprised this article left out Nimbus (https://nimbusweb.me/). I switched to Nimbus per the many reasons you’ve cited about Evernote (I even had a Premium license for a couple of years). What Evernote charges for the Premium was too much for me to justify.

Ha, yep. I lived there for a year and I went from indifference to, WHY THE HELL CAN’T WE DO THIS IN THE US?!

Its also worth pointing out (for clarity and assumptions) that not all toilets in Japan are bidets and some older buildings even still have the old-style squatty potties. That said, you can at times find public toilets that have a bidet or two. There was one bigger train station I used to catch a connecting train to a

Oh man, can this only be done on super rare occasions. One, you need to have your leaf blower accessible and two, it has to be a time of the day when you’re permitted to be that loud. In RI, you can’t be making that kind of noise until after 6 AM (7 AM on Sunday). Well, unless you have a whole bunch of neighbors who

Yeah, so don’t use that either at 5am.

This is a terrible hack.

Just what my neighbors want to hear at 5 in the morning.

Or use my foolproof method: Don’t commit treason.

This is easily Google’s biggest problem — the ridiculous array of similar products that overlap in function, seem designed to replace one another, and never just coalesce into a single experience.

This is a surprisingly great idea.

Yeah, on my last visit to Kyoto I was able to buy an umbrella, some decent gloves, fizzing bath bombs themed around the seasons, matcha covered strawberries, a bag of eggs, about 10 varieties of grape gummy candy (my favorite), and a very large can of sake that cost 100 yen at the kombini by my hotel. That was just

Since we’re on this topic...

I hit the Family Marts almost every day I was there. My favorites were the tea drinks (so many, a different one each day), the prepared fresh rice and noodle meals, gummy candies, Boss coffee in a can, roe-flavored potato chips, and hot foods. Really you could find everything you need. One joint (not sure if it was an

I’m with Alicia on this... up with Half & Half, down with sugar.

maybe milk...but sugar??

can someone recommend a decent, portable projector? this seems like a fun hobby. preferably from Amazon. thanks!

Yup, as soon as I saw the title of this article I had to click just to see if the author was aware of the irony. I guess not. The auto-playing videos, smack-dab in the middle of the articles, are the reason I can’t disable ad-block on these sites. If those didn’t exist I would gladly do so to support the content I

Apps have gotten wise to people disabling their notifications and now try to make them integral to the app’s functionality to force you to stomach their crap. Amazon is a prime offender in this category. I disabled Amazon app’s notifications because it was bugging me with deal ads, but then I lost the ability to get
