I think you should cover fantasy news just as much as you do science fiction news, like Game of Thrones.

When Battlestar Galactica was getting worse in its later seasons, they kept insisting "but look, there's no sound in space!".....yeah, you've been doing that since Season 1, but now the characters make no sense

    Now playing

    The Heartshe Hollow

It isn't really a comedy. It's sort of like Twin Peaks with a Southern Gothic twist.

That reference is obscure and bad; YOU should feel obscure and bad.

Every government inherently turns into fascism.

That's what I don't understand: it was deeply disturbing, and all satire/dark criticism is meant to be a bit larger than life to get its point across....but they'd suddenly get to the point, within a *single generation*, where they have "handmaiden" concubines?

What convolutes this more is that at various times, they've established that the Simpsons is a fictional TV show in the Futurama universe (Fry refers to Simpsons merchandise and finds a Bart Simpson doll in an old 20th century trash heap); while at the same time, they've established that Futurama is a fictional TV

    OTISBURG?!

Dear god, they could MAKE anime series back in the day. Beautiful hand-drawn 2D animation cells. Yes, today we can make a lot of 3D CGI crap, but it's often not used artistically; all flash, no substance. I mean...the Sailor Moon remake was in the news recently; side by side comparisons of the old and new show

This guy is so smug that I want to rip his face off and feed it to dogs.

Well, Tolkien and Lewis did have action-filled lives, what with both being World War I veterans. I suspect any movie adaptation would have a big World War I sequence for the action crowd.

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

No...the Reach were explicitly TRICKED by Lex Luthor himself. The entire thing was an elaborate scheme to dupe the Reach into attacking Earth so Luthor could steal War World and give it to Darkseid.

Needs to be randomly attacked by a man in a chicken suit.
