    God help us all.

Great post. Yeah. I didn't walk in expecting Battlestar or Heroes seasons 1, I just wanted and entertaining show which actually had some decent intelligent questions and ideas behind it now and then. "Surprisingly good" better than "not the masterpiece I was expecting".

It wasn't a "bad" season, it just hasn't been as good as the last 4-5 episodes of season 1.

"I was half expecting Charleston to turn out to be the reservation where the aliens proposed to stick the human survivors, back in the season opener. (And it still could be, really.)"

You forgot one: a shocking lack of "Insight". Psychopaths fundamentally do not understand normal people. They can mimic and mime some social behaviors, but on a deep seated level, they have a genuine lack of comprehension.

The fate of humanity rests in the hands of this drunk?

No. It contained the musical episode *specifically because* Joss Whedon took season 6 off to *write* just the musical episode, while delegating the rest of the season to other writers.

    Omar's a-comin'!

But Noxon wrote Buffy Season 6, infamously their worst season!'

    India beat them to it.

    Sonmi isn't an android, she's a genetically modified slave-person.

What man has dreamt of since first he looked upon the stars.

With regard to LGBT characters in a new Trek, I have one simple point:

The idea isn't so much to stretch the story of "The Hobbit" into a third film, as it is to actually make the "Appendix" film, the bridge film, which was the initial idea for the second film.

There is no such thing as "F-type equipment" — some of the unofficial, *non-canonical* spinoff games have that kind of junk, but not the "real" show.

ack, I copy pasted the wrong thing.

There are no samurai swords in Evangelion. Only the Lance of Longinus.

Fun fact: Japanese has no distinct words for "Lance" and "Spear"; while the English dub uses "Lance", and I prefer "Lance" (its alliterative), on-screen text within the show actually uses the English translation "Spear".

What about the Bobbit Worm? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobbit_worm

"SF" isn't as silly as "SyFy".....I mean its an abbreviation, a commonly used abbreviation. Like calling "The Learning Channel" "TLC", or....what does "IO9" stand for?
